I thought this was about claims being made and then being challenged to back them up.

Do they measure the same? The answer to which phone is whichever phone produces a recording representation that sounds more like what was heard in the room.

That’s what I always assume Mike, and I respect that. It is host’s privilege, but when Bonzo visited you I was told he had free reign to make any videos he wanted. For some reason he never made them, or certainly hasn’t posted any. I get that. OCD Mikey on the other hand is all about YouTube and videos. Perhaps not system videos. I do not know about that.

i said it was up to him. he had a head of steam with listening to his violin pressings, and three tt's, the DaVa, and he never got to doing a video, or decided not to. don't know which.

maybe he knew how i generally felt about videos and respectfully avoided it. we did not discuss it at all during his visit other than i said it would be ok.

i did not want this to be my last visit as I sensed more TTs coming. So I did not do videos this time.

The previous videos of your system were not the best sounding; so I guess that you are now afraid to have more videos of your system shared.

The way that you write about your system and your frequent new component acquisitions you figured that you have something special there, but I guess not.

Don’t be scared, post some videos of your system playing music so that the members can give you some honest critique and helpful tips.

Here is one, the mastering of vinyl is different than the mastering of the digital files, for the same release,. This is why your digital to vinyl comparisons are not apples-to-apples comparisons; so I would suggest that you and OCD Mikey stick to the digital challenge and not waste time comparing digital to vinyl and tape as it would be meaningless!

That's a funny argument. It's the nature of phone videos not to sound good (rare exceptions allowed).

Many of us aren’t afraid to post videos of our systems. Nothing to be scared or afraid of.

Perhaps it is time to skip this altogether and spend more time enjoying the things i like and the people i love. Not much enjoyment to be gained from little boys shouting about their toys. All i ever seem to learn (with exceptions already noted) is that i generally don’t like the people in this hobby.

I understand that you are a refugee from annoyingly contentious forums, and I appreciate that you are giving WBF a chance. I agree that this thread is more contentious and snarky than it should be.

As you see, only a tiny number of arsonists generate the great majority of the heat and flames.

We have many other music focused and brand focused and components focused threads that are not nearly this contentious, or are not contentious at all.

Maybe it's true or Fremer perceives it that way, but the video sounds pretty atrocious. We have discussed that on this page (#212 onward):

a comparison of three hiênd DACs Interesting! I found the Nagra to have a more natural tonality and more “drama”. Metronome 2nd best and DCS sounding a bit gray and less dynamic.
