TAD CR1 vs R1

Yes, I am going the old way, and enjoying the process very much. They do sound quite well already...

I was surprised on the post by some of the denail theories. Some are not your typical conspiracy non sense deny all I dont like kind of posts, but well argumented. Interesting the posts related to heat and not flexibility of materials having to do with the process. And also the effect of brain and other personal, external factors on it all.

I am noticing a good improvement already. Last night and this morning I hear imaging and soundstage improvements. However bigger changes were the first hours or so when the speakers actually awaked and transformed.

Now are these latest developments due to break in or something else? Not that it really matters. Is perception of the individual that gives joy and so what is important, but I think is an interesting topic with new theories that can make sense that I had not heard before.

What you think?

From my own experience, break-in is real...and not just because of what i hear...it's because manufacturers will say the same.

I believe TAD may have released the R1 MK2 at the Hong Kong show last week... I am not sure whether it is in fact a new upgraded speaker or if they called it MK2 to differentiate with the Model 1's. I will get clarity from my dealer.

Eli, especially for you I hope it is not a new speaker iteration!

I really hope it will not be the case... i will kill my dealer and the TAD representative....

Tell me about it...MI had mine for what, 3 weeks? If there is a new version out there I will ask for a replecement. It would not be honest from them. that is why I do not think that is the case. At least not from my dealer, but than he may not now. The TAD representative is going to call me on the 24th so I will ask.

Joost, where did you get the info from? I did a google and could not find anything. Is the picture you show supposed to be it? They look like the nomal R1.

Yes you are right. it says MKII... But they seem to be the R1s no? i ca not see any difference on the ones in the poster or the ones playing.

Yes it is. i know japanese quite well. Next to MKII it says, we just sold our last pair to Eli so now we can release the new model, hahaha....

It says [sort of]: Super High End/Leader that Others Follow. Made in Japan. Beauty and the study of Sound.

Impressive! You know Japanese? Well done. I wish I did. No reference to a new model in the text?

My fiancee is Japanese...on my screen she could not quite see the small print at the bottom of the poster which does appear to show TAD R1 MkII...hard to see it. But the bigger writing above does not refer to a Mark II.

She said the biggest lettering is Japanese...but the smaller lettering below possibly Chinese...the two languages share many characters in common, so he got both lines.

Thanks! Yes if it is Homg Kong I guess it will be chinese. Oh well. if they relese a new model just 3 weeks afetr I spent a fortune in this pair I am going to be very upset. my delaer and thenguymfrom TAD will have to do something. I hope is not the case.
