The Lampi GG was much better than the Select 2, in my comparisons, and since then there have been other similar reports of maybe Pacific or so. For complex classical.
here is what @pk_LA says about the Select II compared to the Horizon 360......not the GG, or GG 1.5 or GG 2.0, or Pacific, or Horizon.

maybe the GG is very very close to the Horizon 360. and preferences are preferences. and tube rolling is always a factor. the complex music nod reads to favor the Select II..........been 4 years now since i had the Select II in my system, and 8 years since i had the GG 1.5 in my system. i know what i wrote back then.

No not at all, GG is quite superior to the Select 2 in resolving complexity, dynamic range, obviously tube rolling is a factor. Horizon is not a DHT, I have never said anything about the Horizon, we did compare Pac to Horizon at audioquattr's, as I have said many times before, I am a GG ( now GG3 and Pac 2) guy
