100% Bistecca FiorentinaDear Howie one question because you talk about rice and massage, but you prefer a very big steak like i show you in one photo or one massage in karaoke?
it will get better overtime. it takes a lot of time to fully burn in. please make sure you have not used shielded cable for this AC line, from pole to receptacle in your room. a shielded cable can be used for this purpose but it’s easy to achieve good results with an unshielded cable.Past three four days sound changed from muddy to veiled.
Well the rice cookers just got my heavenly sound back and now climbing to higher floor. God of sound just loves me.pu

The sound is getting better everyday burning the new electricity line. I now understand ddk more how he approaches power. The CC power cord is great for what it is. It is cheap shit, doesn't seem to do anything to sound, and just deliver power. So dont spend money on PC. What need to be managed and put little money into is how the power is delivered to the listening room. That's how he approaches power. Why in the world didn't he just say that. Here is one of PeterA's favorites track.
Thank you for the update! Yours is always my favorite system to hear clips from. Just one question if you don’t mind - if this level represented the final result of burning in/run in, would you be happy with the changes you made? Would love to hear your thoughts on how you evaluate your SOTA system. Kind regardsThe sound is getting better everyday burning the new electricity line. Thank you for your kind words. The sound is not there yet. At the moment the tone is a tad glossy. Playing piano would show more easily. I had this exact experience when I introduced Kuro cable to my system a few years ago. The Kuro took a very long time to burn but once there it became super transparent with no glossy. Maybe one more month this power line will be fully burn in given the rate I am seeing. Here is What I got from routing power line direct from pole:Thank you for the update! Dear Khun Tang,Thank you for your kind words. Here is What I got from routing power line direct from pole:
- Clean up highs. No spikes. More smooth.
- Sense of calmness. Music is just there even less attention drawing.
- More coherency somehow. When play big band with many brass instruments, the brass could take somewhat a leading role when they are not really supposed to. It is exciting to sound like that. But now they just play like team players. The whole band plays more in sync.
- Even more contrast and differentiation.
I am very happy with what I am hearing. The first day was a little scary though. No highs, dynamic gone, no depth, sound width shrinked, etc.
Hi Peter,Thanks for sharing Tang. The video sounds good, and it is a nice piece of music. If only others would on rare occasion share such music in their videos, especially YouTube guys like Jay's Audio Lab. I like the natural sense of sibilance from that vdH Colibri. It contributes to the realism of the voices, IMO. You have a very quiet pressing of that recording. Congratulations.
I also enjoy your recordings. I prefer the visuals of your earlier ones where you show the needle drop and LP cover because I love glimpsing that American Sound table and your arm/cartridge before you walk over to sit behind your desk. Exercise is good for you.
I also like your synopsis of ddk's approach to power. That is basically it from what I gather: deliver good, clean power, and don't screw it up with the power cords and outlets. David did show me three different grounding scheme experiments at his house with switching ability between them to identify the best result. Good luck with the additional power break in.
What do you mean by a "tad glossy" tone? Is there a sheen/coloration over everything that obscures nuance or resolution, or is it a comment about tonal balance being slightly tipped?
Edit: Tang, I should add that I think it’s very cool that you and your local friends pass around videos to each other to illustrate various changes you make to your systems. If you have the interest, I would love to hear you share the reasons for doing this and what you get out of it.

I like the copper cable very much. Both Kuro and the Japanese cable offer advantages over one another.
I think we have a thread about using cable to cook a sound. I am one of those who like exploring cables and enjoy learning how they shape the sound. It is fun and interesting to have flexibility changing sound presentation...especially when it costs very little. Video 1 is all Kuro silvergold cables. Video 2 the speaker cables and phono cable were changed to inexpensive Japanese copper cables. I like the copper cable very much. Both Kuro and the Japanese cable offer advantages over one another. Cables are dependent on main components in the system. Often you cannot generalize them.

Video 2
Tang, another two nice videos. Thank you. It would be interesting to hear the sound with an inexpensive copper ICs too. I see that you are tuning the room acoustics by adjusting the blinds. DDK and I experimented with the same in my room. It can make an audible difference.
I don't know if you are looking for opinions, but it is hard not to comment when you post two videos with same music and only cable and room acoustic differences. I prefer the copper cable sound in video 2. It is more balanced and nuanced. First 45 seconds tells it all. The impact of the opening brass, and the resolution/nuance in the low frequencies following around 1:15. High frequencies are also more natural, less enhanced and more resolved. Video #2 is excellent and my clear preference.
I presume the Kuro cables also had the benefit of being settled while the copper cables were just inserted, but I can't be sure. I never really thought that makes any difference, but cable manufacturers all tell me to let the cables settle for days before evaluating. Regardless, the differences here are very stark.
