Very nice sound. It still has that empty coffee can sound and was also a little disappointed when the two gents started to talk toward the end - the listening room is quite lively. Though room reverb is always better sounding than a dead room or presentation, it's still no match for the volumes of ambient info embedded in the recording. Some reference level digital playback here, starts at 4.20min:
A video, recorded with Samsung phone, showing up the chalk n cheese difference between a good high end source and a bad one:
Really? I find the Jamie Cullen track 'Thinkin Bout You' unlistenable via the Lumin T2, I also find the Tidal version unlistenable on my modest IFI dac/amp.Given our short auditory memory, and the quality of the video, I found the differences to be too subtle to make a conclusive opinion about these sources.
Moreover, in these types of videos there is a clear preference by the author for one of the sources, and that can introduce a bias when listening.
How does that relate to the video you posted?Really? I find the Jamie Cullen track 'Thinkin Bout You' unlistenable via the Lumin T2, I also find the Tidal version unlistenable on my modest IFI dac/amp.

Perhaps that track is in the video. If so, my mistake. What didn't you understand?
Hello guys.
I also record Youtube videos with audio gear. I am huge fan of such videos and find them very useful. Since we have access to some great gear like drivers, speakers, amplifiers etc. Recently I finished my dedicated YouTube studio with High End Schoeps mics and the differences are obvious. Here is an example of my latest recording where I test 8 different small full range speakers.
To my ears Fostex sound the best. No brightness and easy to listen. Tang band is distance 2nd.Here is an example of my latest recording where I test 8 different small full range speakers.
It sounds great to me. Very nice!hopkins Lack of the deepest bass seems completely secondary at this point.
I don't think it's a great recording to judge your system by. Have a listen to the vinyl version:I am reposting this recording here. I have made some changes to my system, which I will explain later, and the sound has significantly changed. I don't know if it transpires in this random recording. I have in my mind the sound I hear in the room and think I hear clues in the recording, but it could be my imagination... After all, the recording is going through two (or more) conversion steps... In summary, music is simply sounding "right" on some aspects, which are hard to describe, yet obvious... Interestingly, that is the case with every recording. Listening in the room, I'm left with the feeling that I am just now realizing what digital audio can/should sound like...
Lack of the deepest bass seems completely secondary at this point.
Here is another one I just did
