Modern speakers vs Vintage speakers

I don’t…very mediocre…
You need fast amps and big room down to 18hz ,the first time that canton said goodbye to the hated Taunus sound. For me 20 years ago good .today i love other
Speaker.

It is not mono but stereo system.

But it still sounds good.

I had talked with my vintage audio guru (Mr Chung) on the phone this morning.

Altec vintage tends to have good value for performance.

The only thing is that they need to be taken care of by someone who know how to clean or repair it.

There are some nice techie who does good work at reasonable cost in Korea.

That is the reason why I audition vintage audio in Korea and plan to ship them to my home in Washington State.
Every time I listen to these speakers I am in heaven. They sound lush, even over computer speakers from MPV source. Wow!

Yes klangfilm kl vz 403a amps are great, the telefunken v 69 amps are the next evolution of it.from the amps comes the magic. Fieldcoils sounds great with every good tube amps.
A V69 is today is still a very big hurdle today where many manufacturers fail

You need 24v dc , a switch for signal source and siemens w290st fader, then you have a active full balanced transformer coupled preamp;)39df35f6b9b0d9a56eb62921ee2cbb7b.jpg

This beautiful speaker is on Sale at AB, Canada but local pickup only.

Am I crazy to drive 770 miles (1100 km) each way to pick this up after crossing Canadian border?

But I am intrigued with it? :)

Never seen these speakers before.are they custom?

By the way after tube rolling, Cayin sounds very warm and relaxed with Altec A7.

Another relaxing sound using Cayin 300b PP.

Altec A7 sounds detailed and exciting with nice dynamic contrast driven by Line Magnetic 508
What all have you done to the A7's?

Hello

I have Mazda RX9 7 seat Suv.

If dissaseembled, can pair of speskers be inside my car?

thanks

Thomas

I got positive message

It fit in the back of my X5 no problem so I would think so.

Decision time?

If the components are worth the price and you are in the mood for a road trip I say go for it! Whether the completed speakers actually sound good is another matter ;)

It is winter time.

So it may not be safe to cross all the mountain road to AB, Canada.

Also Road 1 in Canada is under repair so I have to go through Spokane.
