They are using a 'new' type of adaptive or sliding bias, which is claimed to maintain Class A operation by adjusting the output transistor bias in real time. Whether this is considered "true Class A" is likely to be debated!

My old Soulution 710 had a big fan. You generally can't hear them at seated position. I don't like them though because they can collect a lot of dust.

I think the evo amps look better. I don't understand the silver lump in the front. Either it's black or it's silver but don't make it both.

i remember when Levinson tried fans- that didn't work either. Funny how Krell and Levinson's "day" seems so long ago.

I think the EVOs are VERY good amps. These look shaky to me but that doesn't mean I think they'll be shaky in the sound department.

I have a pretty quiet room. I don't see myself having anything with fans except the HVAC anytime soon.
