Krell kav 280p problems

Hi i have a Krell Kav 280p that has thrown up a fault it shows FRE in the read out , does anyone know what this may be ?

Have you recently moved country or purchased it abroad ? I think that is what my Krell CD player says when it receives the wrong power frequency.

No it just done this one day , on switching it on by the remote, krell said it may be the cpu , i can get it to work so i can not see it being the cpu , , been told i need an original remote to put a code into the machine , which i dont have, as there seems to be different ones
