Holbo mk2 Airbearing Turntable System

Yes, the Trons.

I auditioned the Analysis Audio with somebody else in the English countryside. I'm sure Marc would remember.

That was Peter, with Analysis Omega and NAT transmitter. I told you to visit him because at that time you were into electro stars, and I was trying to get you into ribbons like Analysis and restored approved Apogees. But then your progress stalled

This weekend was Budapest Audio Expo 2025...

Kingrex, your question is a valid one. Audiophilia is filled with generalizations. That said, I would never suggest my friend and colleague JR of that communication:) That said, Botsjan will be able to address this. My sense, based on following this product closely and the number of customers reporting that it not only performs with the highest level cartridges but also delivers goods in terms of SQ, would suggest it is an extremely well-engineered and quite a reliable arm and table. The value per dollar offered with this product is simply A+.

In full disclosure, I am a fan of well-executed modern, tangential tonearms, such as those by Kuzma and Bergmann.
Are you saying that chatter in a tone arm is not an issue? That is not what I have heard from more than one source. Maybe I am misunderstanding this video.

Test with 40 kilogram platter, mk2 motor, air pump and platter air bearing.
Pure stainless steel platter or mix materials.?

70mm pure stainless steel. I'll probably add some aluminum.
Ok. I had always really good sound with this on pure metal platter. My tip

P.S
Be careful not to drop it, it will break immediately

Heavy platters and air bearings sound great if the motor is up to the task. :)

About the airbearing for the platter, may I ask whether it is airbearing for both the vertical and horizontal / radial planes, or only for the vertical plane like the Micro Seiki / TechDas ? Thanks
