Still? Oh, man. I feel for you. I might be able to help you out with that. Sending a PM shortly.

As a present to myself, I scored some Mo-Fi albums today at really great prices. The DCD MFSL SACD's are getting pretty rare and to get them at a decent price was pleasing. I can't wait to compare the MFSL of Into the Labyrinth to the CD I recently acquired.

Love Roxy Music. Brian Ferry, as a person, not so much.Just finished listening to my newly acquired NM- copy of Roxy Music-Avalon. It's an EU pressed copy from Simply Vinyl and whisper quiet. NM- is a pretty aggressive rating for used vinyl, but man...he was spot on. It's got dynamics and space coming out of my ...well, you know what! Very happy with this addition!![]()
I was a huge Bonny Raitt fan back in the days of 'Give it Up.' If there is one song of hers that is absolutely timeless, and worth owning, out of all of her work, it is 'Angel from Montgomery.' (which, if memory serves, is not on that album, but on the third or fourth album, sorry it's been awhile).Well, don't laugh too hard but I do just so happen like Country music as well and after hearing this song for what seems like the hundredth time on the radio? I decided to buy the CD for one song and one song only. ? I can't make you love me ? by Bonnie Raitt. I have always admired this song and when I put it into the rig and hit play, I was floored by the amount of musical content of that song that I never realized was there. Man, did I ever hear some serious potential with this recording.
So, I just emptied my audio piggy bank more for one song than I ever have in my life just to hear the best attainable playback possible. I was able to snag the Luck of the Draw album on an out of print DCC 24-Karat Gold CD that just so happens to be sealed.

Now I'm just praying that DCC can deliver the way I'm hoping they can. What a beautiful song.....even those audiophiles who don't like Country music would truly appreciate the musical artistry of this song.

Oh, I'm on a roll I guess. I just ordered what I would consider a "must have" in any musical library. David Gilmore, Live in Gdansk. A 5 LP 180g boxset.

I had the pleasure of listening to this many moons ago on a freshly opened and properly cleaned LP on my rig at an audio event a couple of years back. While I just rec'd the CD/DVD set? As I listen to it now, even with much time passing by, the LP simply sounded better. It's not like I'm not enjoying the CD but the LP of this concert offered more to these ears. Figured that I'd better get it before the prices go sky high and I am sooooooo looking forward to experiencing the LP once again.
Let the good times roll....

Gary...is that an original pressing???
(Must not be jealous, must not be jealous...)
