thanks, it's from the vibrationsSounds good. Didn't catch what the recording is? Also, your front wall artwork needs straightening! Come on!

Interesting, the bluetooth probably filters out the digital nasties embedded in most digital recordings, you could be onto a winner! The track below you played that sounds good on your bluetooth setup is pretty much unlistenable via my headphone rig, how does it sound on your non Bluetooth setup?thanks, I don't think Airplay is more musical, I use ethernet and bluetooth for streaming with similar satisfaction, but I actually prefer when this "Yazaki" plays via bluetooth, the rest of my dacs and streamers play via ethernet cable

Yup, this one's more messy, I'm not normally a fan of bluetooth but at this point I'd consider any option that enabled me to enjoy more digital recordings.
I'm glad you like the bluetooth in this recording, a few of my friends use it as an additional sound source and almost all of them were skeptical about bluetooth before, me tooYup, this one's more messy, I'm not normally a fan of bluetooth but at this point I'd consider any option that enabled me to enjoy more digital recordings.
AFAIK, lossless transmission of 16/44.1 is so far not yet possible with Bluetooth, is this correct?I'm glad you like the bluetooth in this recording, a few of my friends use it as an additional sound source and almost all of them were skeptical about bluetooth before, me too![]()
it's possible, I don't know anything technically, by ear it's okAFAIK, lossless transmission of 16/44.1 is so far not yet possible with Bluetooth, is this correct?![]()
I can't imagine what about this track makes it "pretty much unlistenable"?? It sounds good here - Qobuz.Interesting, the bluetooth probably filters out the digital nasties embedded in most digital recordings, you could be onto a winner! Your version is a little shy on bass. It lacks a little bit of weight. What do you think ?I can't imagine what about this track makes it "pretty much unlistenable"?? It sounds good here - Qobuz.
Could be. My sonic preference has always been less rather than more bass, but it might be something to look into.Your version is a little shy on bass. It lacks a little bit of weight. What do you think ?
Precisely my point. There should be more "oomph" in Wil's video.it would be good if posted videos had some relationship to the thread title.
Your video on the other hand has "oomph" but some of the frequencies seem a little aggressive and distorted (could be the phone recording+room - it is suprising how much of the room one can hear with these phone recordings). It's Vivaldi not Metallica
Yes it does sound good, probably a different version?I can't imagine what about this track makes it "pretty much unlistenable"?? It sounds good here - Qobuz.
well, not always a recording with a phone sounds perfectYour video on the other hand has "oomph" but some of the frequencies seem a little aggressive and distorted (could be the phone recording+room - it is suprising how much of the room one can hear with these phone recordings). Yes, that's the problem with these phone recordings - definitely far from perfect. The sound is dynamic and open!well, not always a recording with a phone sounds perfect
but the fact is I like very dynamic and open sound
for a Metallica recording I would use my big Meyer Sound studio monitors, Metallica concerts on MS speakers - for an audiophile rather too shocking dynamics for a home stereo![]()
I think if we married the lower registers of Daro's video with the upper strings, which maybe are a bit thin but very silky, of yours it might be close to ideal. I do, however, think the dyanmics of the Daro recording are also more realistic.Could be. My sonic preference has always been less rather than more bass, but it might be something to look into.
