The relatively low recording volume is probably an important reason that good dynamics translates over the recording system. It suggests that neither the phone limiter nor a potential limiter in the YouTube system have kicked in.
Thanks. Every time a comment is made on the sound of a video, the owner of the system explains that this is not how the system sounds in person - maybe that is the case, but this is definitely how the video sounds, and I am not surprised that this could happen with a phone video.
Isn't that so? One of the many reasons I don't post videos myself.
I agree that the sound of this video can be criticized here and there (and I assume the sound is much better in person), but at least it has good dynamics.
Leif’s system is the best on that front but others posted are excellent as well. Not all have to be 1 on every parameter. It is like a lady looks for a tall guy, but it is not a competition between 6 ft 1 to 6 ft 5. Once he crosses 6, she probably looks for something else in the personality, like if he is a sets horns guy or SS cones guy or a video guy.

I played this in college, second-first clarinet and it is a workout for the woodwinds -- the pace is frentic.
When I made this video in 2023 and went to post it, YouTube said no-no, there is copyright privilege on it and you will infringe that if you post. I don't know if the copyright expired or YT changed their mind, but it is now available.
This is from Bernstein's second Mahler Cycle, which imo is better than his one on Columbia (althought that's good.) There are a handful of truly great Mahler 2nds (Klemperer, Bruno Walter, Solti, some will say Ivan Fischer) and this is one of them.
If you can find clean copies I recommend the Analogphonic reissue series of complete Mahler symphonies.
