I can't understand your comment. When the WAMMs were presented, people felt free to comment positively or negatively on their sound. People freely comment on 150k turntables. Why can't we expect fair comments on the Wadax Reference in WBF?

IMHO all we should ask people is to be factual and document their preference - and please do not tell us about your unnamed friend or cousin who hated it!

I heard that 2 yrs ago dCS had an ambitious plan : a new flagship series centering on a new mono dac, named Dvorak preliminarily.

The Apex upgrade may be merely an unwilling compromise.

when i read about other dac brands coming up with their own way to do the "feed-forward error correcting process" and other dac/servers doing their version of the Akasa Optical interface then all those sexy adjectives for model designations might matter.

those are the hills to climb to compete. and no doubt at some point that will happen. i will be watching/listening for it.

no; i've not heard everything out there. maybe at Axpona there will be something........
