Second and probably last record this evening on the Ascona ☝:

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells, orginally released in May of 1973. This album was the first album to be released by Virgin Records, owned by Richard Branson. In December of 1973, the horror movie ”The Exorcist” were premiere on cinemas around the globe. Some of this album music was the movie soundtrack, making this epos album some kind of cult…

This is the 50th Anniversary Edition reissue, released as a gatefold, containing 2 vinyl LP’s on black vinyl at 33rpm.

Sound is very very spectacular… not so much bass, but an overall nice sounding album..!!
Highly recommended!!

I saw him in concert in Glasgow, 1980. I think that he was a lot less popular, so he allowed us to use our ticket to see him the next night. A different kinda music was exploding at that time.

First up on the Ascona this morning☝:

Sophie Zelmani - Sing And Dance, orginally released in 2002. This reissue in glittering gold vinyl at 33rpm was newly released the 19th of Feburary 2024.

This is one of my absolut favourite female artist, and this album in particular. Having played this album on CD and streaming since 2002… -to get this one on vinyl yesterday was like having a very nice christmas present!

The sound is very well balanced and truly amazing. Audiophile grade material indeed ;)… Enjoy!
