Thank you @PolluxIn the meantime I have tested few dozen of 6sn7gt tubes on Atlantic. They sound very nice, better than small triodes I tried , but definitely not in the same ligue with l WE367a, El12 spec and Philips EL51 (4654). Best of them were Sylvania 6sn7gtb and GE 6sn7gt (att)

I’ve looked at the Summit before but to be honest have always been skeptical. They seem very expensive for a “new” tube and I’ve heard too many stories about early failures within a month or so of operation. Not that it’s every case to be sure, but enough to give me pause. Are you buying these from a dealer local to you or through a China source? The Sylvania JAN-CHS 6SN7WGTs (with adapters) were some of my fav's in the GA TRP, along with the VT231s I have stashed away as matched quad$. Select years sound much better then others I have, making them difficult to source the best-of-kind here given the many variations. The new Ray Reserve and especially PSVANE Summit 6sn7s delightfully more then give the Slyvania's a run for the money in my Poseidon DAC and Spatial Audio Raven preamp (sorry, TRP has a new happy home so nothing to compare here).
I stick with early early UX-280 or 80’s. I’ve tried RCA (pictured above), Majestic and Cunningham- as long as they are the “Globe” or “Balloon” glass they seem to have similar characteristics.Which type 80 tube you prefer?
I’ve not used a WE350B in mine- too hard to source a quad of and ridiculously priced. I have a few quads of 6L6G though (shown below) and if memory serves the Sylvania’s I have are really nice! I listened to a quad of RCA’s a couple of weeks ago and changed them out pretty quickly- not sure if it was just not a good gel with the music that night or if it was just my mood. I like the 6L6G though and continue to pick them up when I can.Can one use 350B (VT-115A) tubes in the Atlantic TRP? If so, how do they sound compared to some of the other options?
Thanks so much!
Chris

I have been using electricaly the same we367a (different shape and pin layout) and it is the best output tube that I have used.in Golden Atlantic (there's pictures and description few pages back). Can one use 350B (VT-115A) tubes in the Atlantic TRP? If so, how do they sound compared to some of the other options?
Thanks so much!

I'll bite: WTF in the WBF is an Engine12?G/A TRP- full of surprises.
I received my first Lampizator product last Monday.
I had my eye on an older unit that was for sale on USAM, which was originally an Atlantic-TRP that was upgraded to the Golden version with ENG11, back in 2019. The price was fair and it had everything I was looking for, SE, preamp, and VC, and the copper top was the icing on the cake. I'd been wanting to upgrade my DAC and this seemed like the perfect solution.
It was a cooler day when it was delivered. So I let it warm up to room temperature. After a couple of hours, and with much excitement I hooked it up, turned it on, only to discover no sound was coming out of the left channel. OK- a cable must not be seated. After turning it off, checking all connections, still, no sound. Then I tried swapping driver tubes, but this time no sound from either channel. Big disappointment.
I sent an email to Fred at Lampi-NA to see if there was anything I could trouble shoot. I also let the seller, Ray, know I was having some issues. While I was waiting for their replies, I drove to Eurotubes, which is local to me, and bought some JJ KT66 and a new rectifier tube, which unfortunately didn't solve the problem.
The good thing is, I was lucky enough to have purchased the unit from a legit seller, who offered to buy the unit back. Thank you Ray!!! I told him I wanted to talk to Fred first to see if it could be repaired and what the cost might be.
The surprises continued, but in a good way. Fred's response was, even with units that are a little beyond their warranty, it is Lampizator's policy to help out the customer and the repair cost should be negligible, even if it's a big ticket item that needs to be replaced. Then it got even better. He went on to say, that while it's being repaired, it could be upgraded to the new Engine12 for a price of 2500 euro. Wow- Marry Christmas to me.
After a few days of working through logistics. Getting a quote from FedEx for $2140 and UPS of $2100. to USPS, saying the box was too large to ship international. I reached out to Fred again, and he agreed it didn't need to be shipped in the original flight case. So- I shrink wrapped the crap out of it, double boxed it and sent it on its way to Poland.
Now comes the hard part of waiting.
