My Tube Collection, Welcome to share yours

Hi, nice and incredible tube collections, congratulations, I'm a collector too, but more inclined to power tubes, isn't there much love for power tubes?

Sure - power tubes are great. I just have not yet dug out those boxes yet.

Stay tuned. And, keep posting pictures of those awesome tubes.

This is two quads of CV575 (5U4) rectifiers. All have the same date code, there are some different codes on the bottom of the base.
While they have the same dates, one of the tubes only has 5 pins. That's ok for this type tube, just odd that the production was changed.

These were (and still are) in perfect condition.

Ok, share the love ... The WE 300B started my love affair with single ended triode amps. While these are not the older exotics, they are still from the original manufacturing. Gotta love these tubes - good for tens of thousands of hours. At my rate of use, they will last as long as I need them.

The plot thickens. From an earlier post, I showed the Valvo packaged Mullard 5U4G with 7C2 J5K codes. The Mullard/Volvo had 5 pins. The Philips branded had all 8 pins, except the one. What a coincidence that these tubes, purchased from different sellers, decades after they were made, were all from the same month/year and factory.

I could hypothesize that the one Philips tube was from when the production changed from 8 pins to 5 pins. Or maybe that is just guessing.

Philips branded on left, Mullard on right and below.

You have too many tubes Mr. Vinyl, you have to send those to me (joking, I also have too many and I listen to 5% of them).

And something to be on topic, a pair of Mullard EL38.

I have several pairs of this one but never really liked it on my amp. A more detailed photo:

Date codes are Hm1 / B2D2. Mullard, Blackburn.

Since you speak about chinese tubes, I have a 12AX7A made, from what I know, by Shuguang.
