Those IIOE/47 look like Canadian Westinghouse made in Hamilton, Ontario if that's what's puzzling you. Another good option would be Canadian Marconi out of Montreal, Quebec. These are some really nice Cossor 5U4G. Boxes indicate that they were made for export and also have the BVA mark.

Guess we know what year they were packaged ... 1953

Flap has instructions on how to remove them from the packaging.

E1L would indicate December 1951 made in Spain.

Yes, thank you. I tried looking up North American tube codes, but could not find the correct decoder ring. Those IIOE/47 look like Canadian Westinghouse made in Hamilton, Ontario if that's what's puzzling you. Another good option would be Canadian Marconi out of Montreal, Quebec.
Always glad to help out when I can.Yes, thank you. I tried looking up North American tube codes, but could not find the correct decoder ring.
The help is much appreciated.
E-code is misleading, it is not Spain as you would think but France. More exactly here.E1L would indicate December 1951 made in Spain.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - and perhaps in the wallet of the tube collector.Adrian posts so many beautiful tubes, so I guess it's my duty to restore equilibrium in the universe by posting an ugly one.
