I am looking for any advice about the placement of Zellaton Stage speakers. What are the requirements for the minimum listening distance, rear and front wall distance etc.? Is there a manual that comes with the speakers which gives some guidance?
Thanks in advance,
Aziz

Try at least 2.5 meters distance between them, and at least 35-40 cm from the back wall, Minimum listening distance is I d say 3 meters, and u ll be sitting within the holographic soundstage that they create. From about 4 meter and on you will be observing that soundstage. They create a soundstage unlike most other speakers you ve heard. Whether or not you will like their signature after a month or so, is a different matter.

Do you already them at your place? Those are very rare....

I just looked at your room pictures in a different thread and I think the Stages will fit fine there....

Hopefully, they should be brought to my place early next week.

I asked the current owner to scan and send me the pictures of the manual that comes with the speakers. It has unpacking instructions, just several pages, but nothing about speaker placement.
I must be spoiled by Wilson Audio:). They have excellent and very thorough manual.

I
Stages will be easier to place than Wilson, or Grandinote.
I thought, that due to their open-back design, they may need more space behind and on the sides of the speakers compared to traditional ported ones. Is that not so?

Well, its desirable to have about 1 meter, or even more, or follow the Cardas's Golden ratio of 1/3, however from picture of your room I guess that is not practical in your case. These are not dipolar speakers per se. Glass reflections may present an issue though. If you can, try listen to them at their current set up, that should give some idea. These Stages will sound way different than your Wilsons, or most any other box speakers.
