Hopefully the Schnerzinger boxes are providing some degree of respite. Powered on or not!
Not sure what’s going on, by now I’d have expected lots of commentsAmps are breaking in? These need a very long "burn-in" period, I would venture to guess at least 500 hours, if not 1000.....
2 weeks and crickets....
No posts from anyone regarding 717's.....seems very strange
Perhaps someone is too busy enjoying it rather than to spend time online discussing it?
Our demo unit is incoming within 1-2 weeks. Can’t wait, where I would be happy to report back in due time.
Unfortunately, sometimes the timing of real world does not cooperate with my audio passion. I had unchangeable travel over the last few weeks – Galápagos Islands and Machu Picchu. When the dust settles and I am caught up, I plan on a lot of listening. However, in the short listening time that I've had with the 717s, they are absolutely outstanding and have exceeded my expectations. Not sure what’s going on, by now I’d have expected lots of comments
No one has 717s …it is becoming an exercise in tolerance !

There are 2 owners so far, among the WBF members... Pk_LA and Mike Malinowski...Will take them awhile to wait for their break in , etc.Anyone else with 717s? Where are all those new owners?
I’m on the sidelines ready to place my order but I wanted feedback from the early adopters before I pull the triggerOur 717 demo unit ships today from the Swiss HQ![]()
It is highly unlikely you ll get any sort of meaningful criticism from owners of such gear, or from a reviewer. Everyone's system & sound preferences, and hearing are different. If you are willing to spend that much coin on these amps, I suggest you arrange for a week, or two, home trial demo for a "reasonable" fee, instead of buying blind. Also, posting the details of your system would be helpful, if you seek suggestions.

(...) Agreeing to pay for shipping one way or both ways, as well as possibly to pay a home demo fee, is money extremely well spent.
IMO this all depends on the relationship you have with your dealer. What do you consider to be a reasonable home demo fee for a 100k amplifier during an weekend?
