Great...and ours are inbound for tomorrow (Sweden).
Welcome to WBF, Nick!Hi guys, i live in Italy.

Hello Everyone on the fence … imagine having something everyone would love to have , but there is only so many to go around , now imagine you bought in on them at a planned price then someone hikes the price 39 percent not to mention your exchange rate is loosing value everyday !There are 2 owners so far, among the WBF members... Pk_LA and Mike Malinowski...Will take them awhile to wait for their break in , etc.
Would you be able to post a video of the 717 playing at night with the lights out? I often listen that way, and I wonder what those flashing yellow and red LEDs look like. I heard the 727 preamplifier as an in-home demo and found it to be a wonderful product so your very positive experience with the 717s doesn't surprise me at all. Thank you for sharing!Hi at all, I understand those who say: After spending all this money, imagine if they'll speak badly of it.
It would be like cutting off your testicles to spite your wife.
Let's get to the point.
After several hours of "breaking in," I began a serious listening session with the new arrival. My system consists of the DCS Rossini Apex DAC + DCS clock, Oladra streamer, Focal Scala Utopia.
All cables are Nordost Valhalla.
The power supply includes a QB10 Reference, also from Nordost.
Fiber optic Ethernet connection, Uptone media converter, but I don't use the Ethernet B port.
The connection between Oladra and the DAC is via AES, also with a Valhalla cable.
I listen mainly to Jazz, Jazz/Rock, but a good Vivaldi always sounds good.
I should point out that before the Soulution 717, I had a Pass XA system.
Writing a review is very difficult, especially for something new. Strangely enough, everything new always sounds good. Dear audiophile friends, we know how it works.
In this case, I wanted to be truly impartial in my judgment, and to avoid being swallowed up by the novelty, I invited a great friend of mine, a fellow enthusiast, along for the review.
The 717 stands out for its size and the disco effect inside. There are a myriad of yellow and red LEDs inside, which at night make it feel like you're in a nightclub. Not that they're annoying, but 5% of the value is just the LEDs, in my opinion.
Coming to the sound.
What immediately strikes the ear is the extreme clarity and precision.
This doesn't mean poor or nonexistent bass, or the mediocre style I often hear at trade shows (for goodness sake), but it's a true bass, precise with the right extension, without that annoying tail, and with truly exceptional separation between instruments. Everything is in its place, and everything sounds with that dynamic range and precision that's impressive.
Even at high volume, nothing changes; the absolute coherence and the same precision remain.
The separation and soundstage are indeed worthy of praise; perhaps the greater separation of the instruments makes everything seem wider and deeper.
The acoustic bass is truly beautiful, and the vocals are, in my opinion, its strong point: clear, without sibilance, and perfectly focused.
The "black," or at least the pauses in the track, bring out a dynamic that invites you to turn up the volume, which I obviously did, enjoying a truly high-level performance.
The pairing with the Focals seems perfect to me.
They've made a truly great amplifier with exceptional dynamics and control. The bass is so deep and tight, it's the first time I've heard it like this.
Strengths:
Absolute control
Top-notch detail and soundstage
Precise, never sibilant highs
Deep, pinpoint bass.
The downsides:
It's objectively large.
It gets hot, and quite a bit.
It's expensive (luckily I've spoken highly of it).
Next week I'm getting the 727 preamp to test together and we'll see what happens.
I want to be as transparent as possible with you.
I wanted to listen without the "it must sound good because it costs so much" syndrome.
I'm curious to read other reviews, but as far as I'm concerned, I can say it was a great purchase.
Hi everyone, and happy listening.
I used the translator, I hope you understand.
WOW.. That seems like an extreme amount of time to wait for an order to be filled. Is that typical?Ive had my order in since last September … Im over a year . But like anything new , unknown in the field and scarce … patience is first and who you know is everything else .
Talk about a crap shoot with no good result.Im clearly not the only one waiting and promised at a price point that is now fantasy ! And as we all eagerly await these amazing amps , we are still in waiting to hear others build them up in our minds . Imagine if someone pines in how badly they sound , then what … is it a run on the bank ! Now Ive got to hear them but it was brief and not in the confines of my own crib … which is a whole-nother story !
Major expectation bias. No? What happens if you don't like it. Sell at a loss?I know I will be much surprised in a positive way , as I am one of those optimistic anticipators … No need to add to the angst and drive myself crazy with disappointment in something that I haven't even heard yet !
Sounds like an absurd, self induced caveat emptor situation. Not trying to be critical or insulting but WHY? There are other products available without all this drama. Sorry but I just don't get it.It’s like a new car everyone wants … pack a lunch because its gonna take some time … and like every good salesman , we are all his best customer and will see ours on the very first run !

The problem with supply and demand is who gets the supply . No one wants to disappoint anyone here , but how these amps get distributed is going to raise some eyebrows . Ive had my order in since last September … Im over a year . But like anything new , unknown in the field and scarce … patience is first and who you know is everything else .
If your waiting for your dealer , he is waiting on the distributor whom is waiting for the tarrifs to be more reasonable and hoping the exchange rate will soon begin creeping back to more reasonable .
