I swore given the madness of this hobby i would never go to vinyl...never say never, but i have not yet been tempted. I am just focused on optimizing my digital setup, and buying loads of cheap CDs second hand from Amazon for 2-3 bucks each (including a lot of nice remasters, and some of the more expensive but still relatively affordable second hand FIM, K2, XRCDs)
I'm very happy with it, yes! Never did see RC live I'm sorry to say, although I did have the pleasure of seeing James Brown 3 times. Phenomenal is also a word I would use for JB!
I know how you feel as my fretting hand ain't what it used to be, pita...Always played a nylon, started with a Gibson GS1, bought it from an FTG2 when he was discharged, then picked up a Guild MK4
Jazz @ the Pawnshop, good choice. I have a few of that one, really like the K2HD from FIM
I haven't gotten into the high quality CD thing, but I might give it a try one day. I keep saying I should get a nice little player like an Oppo 95 or something...maybe next year.

it is a good time buy CDs while they're still cheap. we saw this 20-yrs ago when used vinyl was cheap. I cant say that now based on what im seeing at used record stores, thats if you can find one with any significant sellection of vinyl, new or used.
I am very curious about the Zenph Re-Performance of the Glenn Gould Bach variations...have you compared it to the original? I have the Sony 1983 recording. I also have the Rachmaninoff re-performance which i think is quite good (though i have not studied the original recordings of Rachmaninoff playing his own works.)
Thanks for any insight to the Zenph re-performance...i have heard very good things about it.
