I believe I posted this in my into but, thought I'd put it in this thread as well. It is Prototype #1 of a SOTA Millennia that went back to the factory and Chris and Donna gave it a complete Eclipse upgrade last year, refinished the plenum as it was never finnished properly as a prototype. It did have the distinction of being reviewed by Harry Pearson before I acquired it from Fletcher as he was selling the company. IMG_5643.jpeg

You are wrecking the bearings in that Dynavector arm, as you have not got the main weight on it.

Recently I moved house, at the time I took the photo, only the kuzma 4point was installed and adjusted, the Dynavector and Ikeda were adjusted later!

Garbarek Triptykon was really a great choice for the first tests of an arriving EMT 927 - no setup at all, just 1.75 g in the stylus and it sounds immediate, natural and alive. Bass is unbelievable. Now I need a new rack before the old Zoethecus fall in pieces ...

And all David says about the SME 3012R in the proper turntable is true!

Francisco, do you still have this turntable? Your description of the sound is very easy to grasp and you express it with seeming enthusiasm.

I currently use an Acoustic Solid 111Metal with the base riser, with 2 Jelco 850M tonearms one with an Audio Technica AT12Sa Dual Magnet cartridge, and on the 2nd tonearm I have an Audio Technica AT33PTG/II moving coil cartridge. TT1.jpg

I had that Bel Canto SET40 amp for many years. Using very hot running 845’s. I remember walking in to my listening room and smelling the heat those tubes produce. A luscious big sound.. Nice setup.

Hi and thank you very much! Yes, you can indeed feel the heat from the single ended 845 tubes, but it is certainly welcomed in these cold Wisconsin winters that we experience here :)

Best Wishes,
Don
