As a very loyal customer of the distributor of Wadax in HK, I managed to get hold of the first demo set of Wadax Studio Player Collection (PSU / Clock Serial Number 001) for trial audition at my own place, will share further feedback in a few days.

The Wadax Studio PSU is very well built and solid, 31kg. With the PSU, the soundstage enlarges by a good factor and sounds more analogue / organic.

The clock refines the sound to a good extent in pitch accuracy and note separation, and with “darker’ background, these SQ improvements are especially easy to note in jazz / orchestral works.

As the Wadax Studio Clock I have is a demo unit. It has not yet got the ‘phase noise optimisation’ user function, which should be very helpful and is quite unique for audio clock in the market.

Thank you Gary. I don't personally use online video clips but understand that others like them.
I own a SP and very much look forward to see what happens with the add on clock and power supply. I have experienced the difference the Ref Power Supply and Akasa DC cables made in my playback system. I know a few of my clients have as well. One of the reasons I was an early adaptor for Wadax were my discussions with Javier and Jerome ( at that time now Brandon) were their future plans. The plans are now the present. I have been a dealer a long time and we all know that the UBER stuff is fun but has limited sales but fosters passionate discussions.
The "affordable " gear is what sells in most uber lines and this was what I waited for. 250k plus components of any kind only sell to a few and probably those few own all of them

Agreed with your comments. The UBER lines in a way define the market position of the brand and drive the reputation and sales of the 'affordable' / 'mass market' lines. I personally expect to receive the first wave of Wadax Studio PSU / Clock production units around Nov/Dec.

this is what I was told when I placed orders for them .
I know we both have uber products and I think that they are fun and do position the brand. This was huge back in the day say when Arnie first made those IRS's that later tuned into Genesis however today there are IMO far to many trying to go where IMO there is too much already.
In doing this they are again IMO hurting the growth buy providing little value or something dramatically new and better. They make them IMO just so they can say they do.
These new products are certainly against that trend and the consumer can choose if they want to go deeper

Probably a fool's errand asking, but is it a DAC or a streamer?

The current plan is for it to be a more traditional DAC, but also offer the streaming functions as found in Studio Player.
