of course; the $64,000 Question is how the transport compares DIRECTLY to the Wadax Ref Server w/Ref Power Supply + Akasa DC cable. which is not mentioned at all in the 'review'.
which is the whole rational for the transport product for most. some are disc only so there is that too..
interesting that looking at the review pictures there is no Wadax Ref Server or Ref Server Power Supply in the picture for direct compare to the Transport result. so we are once again left without the most relevant compare info. just hyperbole.
something might be behind the blanket in the middle?????

One can use a additional power supply , akasa power cable and akasa optical with the trans as well
A while ago I have kindly asked Roy Gregory to address this question in his forthcoming review of the reference transport. We will have to wait if he indeed is willing to make such an in depth comparison.
I still need to be convinced that (sa)cd replay beats the server when playing native, high quality dxd / (pure) dsd (256) recordings which are locally stored. Locally stored files because I recently compared such files to (the same) streamed music from Qobuz. In my system the former is - sonically speaking - much better than the latter. And with much I really mean much. So in my view a fair comparison needs to involve locally stored high quality files.
That said I know that Javier is very outspoken in this regard: in his view the Wadax reference (sa)cd transport sounds superior to the Wadax reference server.

From the photo, I cannot quite tell...does this Golden connection go to something else, or is it standalone and just connects on one end? And can you connect to any RCA or XLR? What kind of effects does it have on sound? Thanks!!!

Everything is well, finally joined WBF. Whats new with your system? Still using Robert Koda, Gryphon, Wilson?
The Golden instrument can be terminated with male xlr, female xlr, rca, spade, bnc termination. Yes you can connect to any unused rca, xlr, bnc, spade terminal. The effects vary from equipment to equipment. We recommend always to start with source components. Improvements in all areas.
More focus, tempo, soundstage expansion, harmonic dynamic expression, information retrieval that you didn’t even know its there, but the most important factor music takes a more humanistic feeling. A must audition in the future.

Our system is now all Robert Koda amplification...so went from Gryphon Mephisto to the Robert Koda K160 Monos. I think you've heard them? What did you think of them?
I’ve never had the pleasure of listening to the Robert Koda K160 Monos, these arrived later to AE. Always wanted to listen to them, I bet they are awesome.
Do let me know if you ever hear them. Yes, I do think they are awesome, but I always am open minded to more experienced ears (like yours).
I can't find any information on your website about this product, The Golden.
