Anyone own or have experience with these speakers other than hearing them at a show?

The Palladium set looks real nice to my eye

Seems like the only way to hear them is in London...

I saw that but there are no comments on how these speakers sound.

No, not really. I already expected that knowing the main drivers in that type of overbuilt cabinet but it wasn't all the speaker's fault, setup had issues. $750k is a lot of money for a speaker system with active subs like that too, for me it's more furniture than speaker.

Hi Kingsrule,

after hearing Prototypes of the Vox Olympans many years ago, I followed the development of the now current Models, visiting Kevin many times.
After the finalisation of the Design, I purchased a pair, because they were, and still are , the finest Loudspeakers I have ever heard!

Can you elaborate on the prototypes you heard?
I do own a pair of Air Scouts :)

Hi Christoph,

the early prototypes were 3-ways in a more modern appearence, ( I have an image somewhere and will post it when I find it). The extra Driver and Trumpet came later. After experimenting with many different Drivers, including Goto, materials and especially crossover design, Kevin arrived at the curent configuration.
The current Olympian is a realisation of many years of Design, development and refinement.
Even in the early stages it was obvious to me that Kevin was on to something with the Sound these speakers produced.
The Air Scouts were Kevin`s second Horn Design, the first being the Air Partner, a pair of which now resides in the new Spiritland System in London.

Fantastic! Would love to know more about your system, and your choice of the Vox Olympia...what else was in your 'short list' of options for your speakers? How did they compare for you?

Thank you very much for your elaborate answer.
Please share those old pictures
The Vox Olympian room in Munich is always my save haven when I'm fed up from the rest of the Show ;)

PS: I just saw that you might live rather close to me  I live in Liechtenstein

Here is an Image of an early Prototype, as you can see it is a three-way.
I heard this Version as a prototype and was, even at this early stage , already prepared to buy the finished Product.

PS: I am not too far away Christoph, near Vienna.

Hi Rockitman,

the first Pictures are of my Olympians/Elysians, I believe, the only pair in Sunburst Walnut.
As far as I am aware I have the only pair of the pictured engraved Limestone Plinths as they were prohibatavely expensive to produce.
The Bass Amplifier Cabinets are also a Work of Art.
I went the extra Mile and had the Subwoofer Crossovers, which normally reside in the Subwoofer Cabinets , separated in external enclosures.

Vienna. Pity, that places you at the most possible distance in all Austria for me :(

Interesting. This speaker has possibly the most expansive tuning and adjustments built in. I would imagine they need a big room with the huge bass units. They (Olympian) sounded fabulous at Munich last year.
