Any one a fan of Triangle speakers from France. In the spirit of Jadis and TotalDAC, their goal is to engage the emotional vs. analytical. So can't find much information on them on audiophile sites and audiophile magazines.
Triangle zays owner since 1999. Keepers as they are fast and musical with 10-60 watts tube amplification. I have 4 systems and could live with these forever - that good
I’ve owned the range right up to the Quators. My favourite box speakers by a mile, strengths being superb fast bass, and emotion that you just don’t get from other speakers.I’ve had Revel Salon 2’s, B&W 800D2’s and various Wilson’s, and none could touch the Triangles.
Two things to bear in mind though;
1. The high end range are hand made in France and in a different league to the lower end ranges that are made in China.
2. Despite common opinion, and from a lot of experience they only really start to sing with lots of power. I ended up with 4 x 400w Electrocompaniet monos, and the sound was stunning!
There's an updated version of their top line being released soon (not on their site yet), the 40th Anniversary Magellan speakers. Here's a video with some details of the changes and a short audio clip:
I just recently retired my vintage Titus XS speakers that I've used in various secondary systems. Finally replaced them with KEF LS50 Metas and a KC62 sub. It really took all these years where I finally moved on Probably more of the fact that I know every nuance and wart of these speakers but still one of the best at sound straging.
