I enjoy reading and was looking for magazines that were insightful, well written, fact based with minimal ads and variable, current topic subject matter. I chose the Smithsonian and then read about "The Skeptic". I have bought four editions. Published quarterly, $8 per edition, no subscription required. As the name suggests, the articles are very in depth discussions of a single topic from various perspectives. From my first read, I sense no biases. It is factually oriented. And very few ads. All I can say, for those who like my above descriptors, is to goto their website, find a topic of personal interest, and order that edition. I think you will be glad you did.
I am currently reading one that dwells into quandary of "fact based" science and how it's credibility is perceived by the public depending on where and how it is disseminated. One basic conclusion, amongst others, is the impact on credibility once it enters the political sphere. One example cited. Covid vaccines and best prevention practices as espoused by The Center for Disease Control. Really good stuff folks.
