Alon may be spilling the beans deliberately!
:p

Please look carefully at this photo posted on the Magico Facebook on 29 Nov :

Can you see the photo taken by that professional digital camera?

I heard that this flagship model would be launched in 2020.

I believe it will be in the same league of the Wilson Audio Chronosonic XVX.

From the looks of the speaker binding post and the plate magico normally put at the bottom to house the speaker posts, the speaker seems smaller than M6, So my guess is that it’s between the M3 and M6.

I'm expecting an M5 to fill the gap between those models. That would be a killer speaker & become the sweet spot in the M series, like the S5 Mk2 is to the S series. Can't wait!

Oh, is the new _ speaker with the _ drivers and _ tweeter, a notch lower than the _?

I wish I had a picture of Alons" face when he talks about WilsomAUDIOn.

M Project - March 2015
M3 - May 2016
M6 - May 2017
M2 - December 2018

So one guesses that it is the M5 - circa March 2020 and then the M1 or the M9 June 2021 depending on the outcome of the 2020 election!

More comes in a box.

A speaker that's thinner and taller than the M6 is my guess.....

I spoke to Peter Mackay, VP of Magico, in Tokyo. He said it is the coming M9.

It is a very tall speaker, almost 9 feet and weighs near 1000lbs per piece. So it is one ton per pair. M9 is divided into two sections, kind of split in the middle for easier shipment and installation.

The launch will be early 2020. There may be a presentation in Hong Kong. That’s all I know at the moment.

Any additional info/insider news on Magico's coming models?
No hifi shows because of the stupid virus, I guess Alan and his team can work fulltime for the Magico new models.
:D

Is it a D'Appolito driver design?

Peter had not mentioned any detail of the design. He was not supposed to leak anything out but he couldn't hold himself by saying he was so impressed by the huge size and weigh of M9.

Thank you.

I suspect Alon with charge by the pound! :)

Ron, are you asking full with woofer on top and bottom or just M-T-M? I don't know the answer, but I doubt Magico would have a woofer as the top driver. The two sections sound interesting. Can't imagine 9' tall and 1000 lbs. I wonder if there will be an MSub augmentation.

I was also curious about an M1, but I don't know how viable a $35K monitor would be.

The Gryphon Mojo S is not far off that price point.

I was wondering about full vertically symmetrical, with woofers on top and bottom. (KeithR is so over me pushing this design!)
