I presently have the D'Agostino Progression Integrated and am thinking of upgrading to the Soulution 331. (No phono/dac desired/required.) My only concern (aside from cost) is whether the 331 has enough power for my Borresen 01 SSE speakers. Any thoughts / opinions on the difference between the integrated amps would be greatly appreciated.

My friend recently bought the Soulution 330 integrated. It sounds very good—smooth and enjoyable—but I don’t think it’s very powerful. Still, it should be sufficient for Borresens IMO.

You can’t strictly go by the Soulution’s wpc. Power was never an issue with the 330s on my Zellatons. And that was compared to Goldmund Telos 1000s.

It is imperative, too, that the Soulution amps have 400 hrs of playing under their cover before passing any judgement,.

“Four new cutting-edge switched-mode power supplies modules deliver 1,200 VA of continuous power for the power amplfier section with a peak power capability of up to 4’200 VA for more than 5 seconds. They feature high performance filtering at the input and output, and high speed soulution voltage regulators to deliver considerably more stable power than any conventional, transformer-based technology.”
