Seismion Reactio Plus

@Kvali1 very helpful, how did you find the improvement under the 6SE ? Thank you.
Hi! With my tube pre amp , I did some careful a and b listening with turning it on and off , the change is subtle but I do strongly believe it is real , there is more separation of instruments , I do a lot of jazz listening both analog and digital and it just seems dynamics and separation is better . I know the term is over used but blacks are blacker and I think that helps with bass control. I do suspect that tube audio gear benefits from these platforms significantly . I don’t know if I can tell much just yet for the one under my aurender n20 but finances permitting I will purchase more Seismion and place them under all my gear… a lot of time is spent discussing footers and for me I much rather spend money on active isolation and Seismion does it really well.

I had a nice improvement from placing Wilson Pedestals under my Ref 6SE.

I'm highly interested in buying multiple units of the Seismion Reactio plus, as a replacement for the HRS M3X3 isolation bases which I'm currently using.

However, the four feet of the Seismion Reactio plus look rather angular, plasticky and (possibly frail) in the online product catalog renderings.
Screenshot 2024-11-04 125927.png
In the photographs of the actual product seen on this WBF thread, the foot's upper portion looks like cast iron, and the disc on the bottom appears to be some sort of elastomer (or rubber). Some photos show these feet to be partially "hanging off" of the edge of component rack shelves which are just barely large enough to fully accommodate all four feet.

I've never seen the actual product, so I can't really comment. Do they have any vibration reduction, or isolation features? How do they couple to the base? Is there a threaded post which helps the feet be levelled?

Owners - please help describe the feet - what are the pros/cons? In what way do you think they can/should be improved?
Dealers - please comment on the design, and why the current feet are optimal. Any plans for replacement feet, or upgrades?
Thank you!

Hi! Ok, yes, so Sonic artistry offers replacement feet that are 150$ and according to John Badov at Sonic artistry they work very well and are a upgrade ; and or you can put isolation footers under the platform , I’ve done isoacoustic pucks for example . Currently two of my seismion are on the artesania rack that is designed to have footers instead of shelves and this is working well. My Seismion under my TT is still on its original feet and working just fine .. all that said the new reacto 2 is self leveling and I think it actually benefits from resting on its original feet. If you’re in North America call John Badov at Sonic artistry in Toronto , he’s super honest and excellent.

Dears, I'm considering buying one Seismion Reactio Plus, and I was wondering where is the power supply socket located: I have a wall that cannot be moved at 42 cm :)
Is it laterally or in the back (when you have the logo Seismion in front of you)
Thanks for the feedback

When you order, you can choose to have the power socket and power switch on the side or on front and back, both ways are fine.

And it does not take up a lot of space , their own provided linear power supply’s cable plugs into platform so you don’t need much clearance at all , unlike big thick AC power cords . (You do need a power cord to their linear power supply though, but that can be on floor or shelf further away)

Thanks for the feedback, I'll post some pictures once I got it.
Another question: does it make sense to replace the standard Power Supply with an 'improved' one such as the iFi Audio iPower Elite?
Any experience on the matter?

HELP HELP HELP
Hi people,
I bought the Reactio plus platform that currently sits under my turntable. The sonic result is stunning. Same as upgrading an arm or a cartridge. My rack not being that good, the sonic improvement is obvious.
Now question for you all: every 3 months or so when temperature significantly rise (basically between spring and summer, and then summer to autumn) the platform starts to resonate.
You hear what I believe are the piezoelectric devices that compensate vibrations start to get in a kind of resonance.
You hear a 'hum' but with a higher pitch (kinda 600hz)
Unfortunately the 'gauge/template' that has to be used for adjusting height got lost..
Question for you:
1-did you experience this hum as well?
2-what is the height in mm between the top of the platform and its bottom plate (basically the inner distance of the 'gauge/template' taking the mid reference point (I understood there are 3 points))
3- how should I reset the springs, or if you prefer should I completely unscrew them (or completely screw) and start unwind one turn by one turn until it floats with the table on-top of it (I'm scared that by unscrewing them the platform my fall apart)?
4-having these levelling issues would you recommend to upgrade to the new model that has auto levelling embedded?
Thanks for the support

Hi! Where do you live ? I’m sure seismion can mail you the measuring scaffold thingy ; taking your turntable on and off to reset the screws won’t be easy. What is your turntable , how big or heavy is it. If you wobble the top platter with your finger do you feel it bottoming out? (Hitting metal)? You should be able to wobble the top platter in all for corners without it touching the lower platter or “topping” out by top platter floating too high?
If your turntable isn’t too hard to move you can lift up the seismion with it on with help and place pucks underneath the Seismions and that keeps it elevated and you can then adjust the screws

All that said , as much as I love Seismion I hate their plus series with the adjustable screws .

My recommendation is you either get their base model for your TT , which is still actually really amazing and worked well for me or if you want get the new reacto2 and then use the plus on your pre amp or something else .

A good rack can still matter too so maybe worth looking to upgrade that

And lastly a few people have mentioned how power draw can create that hum you describe , so maybe upgrade to LPS can help , I’m not too familiar with that issue though.

Ultimately my recommendation is get base model for TT and move your current Seismion to a source component of your Choice !

Thanks for the detailed feedback!
I should indeed ensure that the whole platform 'wobbles' which is not the case (in one corner it is indeed 'touching/topping' the upper platform.
My TT is a 35 kg TW Acoustics => not that easy to move.
My dealer (Ana Mighty sound Paris) will come next Monday ro reset the platform following your suggestions
We agreed that if we cannot solve the matter I'll upgrade to the new 'auto-levelling' one.
(and I'm planning to upgrade the Power Supply,...shoul not harm)
I'm really amazed by the improvement, ...a must have in any 'serious' system IMHO
Again this for the support.

Hello LCR-db,
after reading your further replies, it seems very plausible that the one "touching corner" might be the problem. The active vibration isolators are very sensitive, and can only work if the upper plate is totally contactless.
We have to agree with Kvali, the manual adjustment for the Reactio plus series was not very user-friendly (I know it best, since I had to install several units at the High-End in Munich the day before the show started). This was one (maybe the most important) issue that we addressed with the new Reactio 2 (the other being a totally different optical design and new materials for higher passive damping).

Greetings,
Marcus (Seismion)
