Very cool. Reminds me a bit of the NVS with the controls under the platter and medium mass platter. I want to see images with arms and wonder if it can accommodate multiple arms. I suppose it can't cost less than one of the SAT arms, so it may be north of $50K.

I would love to see David develop a less expensive AS2000. Come on David, Techdas and SME started with flagships and then introduced trickle down versions. :)

The motor control box to the side is the giveaway.

What next for SAT, a heavilly modded SME V?

Surely they could have painted the Technics speed controller black

Fremer says it's much more than just a SP10R in a plinth.

It'll be interesting to hear the details. Whenever they come.

Mono & Stereo 'write-up' on the SAT XD1 here.

A bit surprised to see this:
Technics DD motor - the best motor
We have analysed and compared all motors used by other manufacturers and nothing comes close to the Technics SP-10R drive system. It is the most powerful, accurate, quiet and reliable motor available today for this application.

I think David should get this motor for AS 2000 premium.

How does one compare DD motors?
