you’re never going to prefer the Italians.
In itself this doesn’t mean much. It’s in the context of if you return Jadis after a while and you prefer it it’s likely that your preference in general is for Jadis. Provided that’s how things play out at all.Why do you write this?
Depends on what I'm streaming on Qobuz. I have found in the most dependable stream on my network is Radio Swiss Classic on the vTuner. Their jazz counterpart (Radio Swiss Jazz) is equally reliable. Unless we have an interruption with our electricity it will run for days without issue. From my perspective, the content is not particularly adventurous (that goes for the jazz stream as well) but the SQ and reliability has been very good.I left the Italians on overnight, but when I came in this morning I saw that Qobuz crapped out again after only about 2 1/2 hours of songs. I find this happens routinely.
Does your hours long Qobuz playlist sometimes interrupt itself after just two or three hours of playing?

Thank you for this report. I am very happy with Qobuz, and I have no interest in exploring any other streaming service. (I have no use for Roon.)Depends on what I'm streaming on Qobuz. I can say our Qobuz stream has become more dependable, in general, over time as subsequent software releases have improved functionality and reliability.
I share your positive opinion and satisfaction with Qobuz.Thank you for this report. I am very happy with Qobuz, and I have no interest in exploring any other streaming service. (I have no use for Roon.)
But I do not know why in my set-up the Qobuz playlist sooner or later gets stuck.
Thank you. I don't think it's a streaming reliability issue.I share your positive opinion and satisfaction with Qobuz.
No doubt you've looked into this but perhaps your problem lies with your internet provider? Problems with the Qobuz stream where I am located usually are a result of interruptions with the local internet provider, Xfinity gigabit service in my case. It's somewhat rural where I live and we don't have many options. It's fortunate that we have access to high speed internet at all but our service is has been exceptionally reliable regardless.
I hope you can solve your streaming reliability issues.
Yes, sometimes when continuously playing I come in to find the music has stopped for some reason. But it doesn't seem to happen nearly as often as you are reporting.Thank you. I don't think it's a streaming reliability issue.
I feel it may happen when a previously working track on Qobuz gets sort of deactivated or Qobuz loses its license to carry that particular track or something like that? Then that track kind of becomes a zombie track, and the playlist gets stuck?
For example, I know that I used to listen to Louis Armstrong's "St. James Infirmary," and then that track went zombie for a few months, and I noticed recently that I can play it again.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
What are the circumstances in which you experience this?Yes, sometimes when continuously playing I come in to find the music has stopped for some reason.
I have a playlist of about 20-30 songs. I press play on the first song. I verify that the "repeat" button is pushed. (Not repeat song) I leave. When I come back (The next morning or next day or sometimes two or three days later) it has stopped playing. This doesn't happen often. What are the circumstances in which you experience this?

i think the common issue is that the Roon image cache gets full up and then playback freezes. you can go into set-up and clear it and all is well for awhile. but not when it's on unwatched extended play.I have a playlist of about 20-30 songs. This afternoon I did the experiments I said I would not do until the 200 hour break-in mark. Just to make sure I wasn't getting turned around, I switched back to the Jadis JA100s. The great tonal balance came back. My sibilance tracks tests were passed with flying colors -- just as I had remembered.
But I was missing the slightly greater resolution and, maybe, a bit of purity (although that could be in my head when I see DHTs).
I also switched the Italians to the 8 ohm taps. I think I did not hear any improvement in the edginess/brightness. So the Italians are going back to the 4 ohm taps.
Bottom line: I have to try to be patient until the 200 hour mark.
Of course.Ron, do you hear the brightness with all sources?
No; the speakers are positioned pretty well. I do not believe in repositioning speakers due to a change in amplifier, especially if I am comparing only amplifiers. See Marty's posts on this subject. Also, have you experimented with speaker set up?
Just as an experiment I switched to different speaker cables. But somehow that feels like cheating.
