QSA LANEDRI Series

Cold out of the box I can't say my system sounded better. Certainly not bad but not better. Maybe a bit worse.
What did they replace?

I guess I'll burn it in for the 900-1000 hours people are reporting. But in my system there really was no impact.
In about three days you should get a good taste of what’s to come.

Anas, quick question about the Discovery coax cable:

Coax Wall Outlet > Discovery coax cable for internet > router > wireless > switch > Discovery ethernet > audio system

In the above setup, would you expect the Discovery coax to make a difference? I will try when I get some free time, but wanted to ask. If not, my plan is to install it in another room for just TV use.
Yes, using the Discovery Veridion power and coax cables on the router will impact the music performance, even with a wireless setup. That said, the improvement is much more stronger when you’re running Ethernet cables across the full chain.

Received my 2 Discovery cables this week: Power cord and LAN cable/RJ45 coupler

Put the PC on my NA Tempus power supply (plugged into a AQ Niagara 5000) and the Discovery LAN was the last 7': Router>Blue Jeans Cat6>QSA LAN>Tempus Network switch

Could you try experimenting with the Discovery Veridion power cable by using it to power one of your components as of the music server or another upstream device.

The 14 AWG of Monoprice base cable used in the Discovery Veridion can be a limiting factor if it’s used to feed a power distributor/conditioner or an amplifier, as those typically benefit from heavier-gauge cables.

What would be interesting is to compare the Discovery Veridion power strip with the AQ Niagara 5000.

We'll see in about 42 days......

Continuous burn-in does help accelerate the process. For the Discovery Veridion power and Ethernet cables, about three days should be enough to give you a good sense of their impact.

Hi Kenny

Lan - just added on to my run of Blue Jeans Cat 6 from my Unifi router to the Tempus. So now the QSA is connected to the Tempus
PC - replaced a Nordost Blue Heaven I had on the Tempus power supply

Thanks for the feedback. Will try listening again early next week

Hello Anas - will try it on my server when I get a chance (Innuos MKII SE). To clarify I do not have it powering the Niagara. Only plugged into it. it is attached to the power supply of a Network Acoustics Tempus switch

Appreciate the advice from yourself & Kenny. I will try listening again early next week. I will be out of town until than

I recommend trying it between the tempus and your server after it’s had a few days to settle in.

Last night I opted to just toss in the two additional Discovery Veridion cables that I received this week. The new power cord went to my router and the new Ethernet cable was connected in series with the other 3 so the entire span from wall jack to tempus switch and from tempus switch to K50 is Discovery Veridion. And, as a reminder, earlier this week I substituted a burned-in Discovery Veridion power cord for the one that powered my K50.

I just sat down to listen after an extremely difficult day at work. I opted for Trilogy 2 from Chick Corea as I wanted to hear how much things had advanced. In some respects what I’m hearing sounds unfamiliar, which is astonishing given how often I have played this. The piano can be heard more clearly and it sounds more real mostly because more natural timbre cues are present but also because the dynamic envelope comes closer to what one might expect. It’s astonishing how much more realistic it sounds.

Everything I mentioned above applies to the bass and drums too with the cymbals likely gaining the most in terms of realism.

Astonishing that this level of improvement could come from a $750 investment. And two of these cables don’t yet even have 24 hours of time on them yet.

I also finally got around to installing my Veridion DC cable. Immediate difference and I'm still trying to fully understand it. I think everyone has said it best already. There's a new realism factor that I haven't heard before nor did I realize I was missing.

And this from a $250 DC cable on a switch that feeds an Ansuz D2 switch! It's hard to believe.

I knew there was going to be an improvement because this switch also feeds my IPTV sources and right away I noticed an increased vibrancy in the colours plus more details in the picture on the TV.

Unfortunately I think this will lead to more Veridion purchases, just after I finally achieved a full loom of Ansuz cables, ugh.

Wondering if there will be more “DISCOVERY” cables being offered.
Such as USB, Interconnects and speaker cables.
Imagine what a complete QSA Veridion Discovery cable loom might do for your system.

Pico Technology USB Cables feature USB 3.0 and 2.0 specifications and lengths ranging from 0.5m to 4.5m. These cables utilize 20AWG conductors for minimal resistance.

Both gauge (20AWG) and length (4.5m) should be an ideal candidate for Veridion treatment, I still couldn't find a better choice anywhere else

Got a little impatient yesterday and listened a bit after moving the Discovery Lan cable from >Tempus switch to Tempus > DAC per Kenny's recommendation. This was at about 50 hours of burn-in

Woah.....was a bit shocked at what I heard. For songs I am very familiar with there seemed to be sounds coming at me from directions I was not expecting. Just another level of clarity, separation of instruments and depth of soundstage. There is a smoothness to the overall presentation. I would echo previous comments on cymbals. I also played a few songs that I would consider hot recordings and played them louder than I normally would. They sounded great and non fatiguing. The bass may be a off at times (a bit wobbly) but I'll chock that up to them still needing to settle in

A big change from my initial impression. Looking forward to how much further they can improve

The goal is to introduce a complete end-to-end cable into the Discovery Series. Interconnects come next, and the USB cable is on the horizon.

My system already has five Discovery Veridion AC power cables, three Veridion Ethernet cables, one Discovery Veridion HDMI cable, and one Discovery Veridion RG11 Coax cable.
The biggest impact was the Discovery Veridion AC on the central power supply that powers my modem, router, and switch. Next came the Ethernet cable from the router to the switch. The rest also added some very satisfying changes. I won't go into detail about the nature of the changes; they are the same as you described.
I'm waiting for two Discovery Veridion DC cables, and I have a feeling they're not the end.
The best part is that I'm selling my more expensive cables and buying TE cables :)

I am starting to get the feeling that the benefits become more obvious the fewer the regular cables one has in their system.

A definite plus when more expensive cables get swapped out. I’m finding though that I’ve been addressing areas I hadn’t thought would yield such obvious benefits so the cables getting swapped out weren’t expensive to begin with. My router is one example where I never thought there would be much benefit into using anything better than generic cables.

I can’t say it enough, the Discovery Veridion Power Strip is an absolute cornerstone of the Discovery Series. It’s the foundation that lifts everything else to a whole new level.

The second cornerstone is the Grounding Box, which is still in progress as we fine-tune it for mass production. There’s more to come on that one, it’s shaping up to be something really special.

The impact of the router came as quite a surprise outperforming every other component, including the server. But it makes sense: it’s the starting point of the signal that defines everything downstream.

I'm having trouble with my power strip because I have a very good, custom-made power conditioner and splitter. It's manufactured by a small, little-known company in Poland. When I connected the power strip to my system, I simply didn't want to return it. Unfortunately, it wasn't cheap, and the company's lack of reputation makes it unsaleable. Therefore, I'm afraid that if I buy a Discovery Veridion power strip, I'll be stuck with frozen money

What does "having trouble" mean specifically, and what leads you to say it's caused by the Polish power conditioner?
