Preamp for Essence Stereo Amp

Currently running Grimm Mu1-->MM Tambaqui-->Gryphon Essence-->Rockport Atria ii's.
Beautiful imaging, clarity, and depth, but lacking some tonal density and dynamics. I feel this is due to not running a pre amp, and a slight preference toward clean and bright by the Mu1 and DAC.
Curious what others are using for pre amps with their Essence Amps?

With all due respect, too many variables and very difficult to replicate voicing of one system to another.

Certainly correct. The question was what other Essence amp owners are running for their pre amps. I'm going to be getting a second hand Soulution 725 to audition soon.
