What version is this? I have the Mosaic Records "Complete Sonny Clark Blue Note Sessions" (CD) and like the sound. Some of the other versions on digital are a little harsh sounding (as heard on Qobuz).

I’ll take your word for it - it is hard to tell from a video, but I get a sense that this may be a bit shouty and lack a bit of refinement to call them “the best”!

He has many videos you can watch and listen to. I can recommend the Fostex Laboratory series, whether woofer, mid-tweeter horndriver, as it's the best there is. That's the problem: anyone who owns them will never give them back. Rarely found used.
Exsample 12" midbass
They are the SF Guarneri G5. I let my distributor borrow my Amati Supreme for the Hanoi High End show, so living with these for a couple of weeks. Sounds pretty good for a small pair.
