New Pilium Gear!!!!

Hi Bob, has there been an increase in the pillium prices as of 2025?
If so ,would you be so kind to post them, please.

At one point I Was looking for the right amp for my Aida1 and I tried also Pilium Achiles amp. There was a total disappointment and unmatching between them. I don’t recomand this combination, at least in my system wasn’t properly worked. Maybe one reason is that I have used different preamp which was not from Pilium...

The pre amp matching is critical - especially with Pilium.

Sonus Faber (older generations) are also rather dark/warm/soft sounding where the synergy might not be optimal depending on the choice of sources, cables etc.

The synergy between the Pilium preamplifier and power amplifier is the result of a design philosophy where both components operate as one unified system!

The dedicated “P” output on the preamp is a high-current output stage engineered specifically to drive Pilium power amplifiers with precise impedance, phase, and gain matching.
When connected through this output, the signal path remains perfectly coherent, delivering a stable center image, absolute silence, and natural dynamic flow.
This represents the full realization of Pilium’s engineering approach: transparency, authority, and seamless spatial integration as a single, cohesive amplification chain.

In my own setup, when I used the MSB Select II directly as a preamp feeding the Pilium power amplifier, the result, while technically excellent, lacked the organic drive, harmonic weight, and spatial coherence achieved with the dedicated Pilium preamp.
The reason was clear, the MSB, despite its exceptional DAC stage, does not provide the same current delivery, impedance coupling, or time-domain synergy that Pilium’s matched design ensures.

This illustrates precisely what defines Pilium’s engineering philosophy, a holistic amplification ecosystem designed for seamless electrical and sonic continuity, where transparency and power coexist in perfect equilibrium.
