NEW My Sonic Lab Flagship Cart -Signature Diamond

Just reading through the comments. I mean, if we’re going to apply the value to the diamond signature based on how much it was get as a ring., and how much value is it in some of the speaker cables as far as copper or silver quantity if we wanted to sell the copper or silver. We pay for craftsmanship. We pay for a known product. We pay for known past results. We do that every day in life whether it’s cartridges or what steakhouse we go to on a weekend. Just my opinion.
Agree.

For the human body, we carry a 'value' of approximately $17.18 when priced as commodity chemicals.

So, I do not know the 'wholesale price' of a diamond cantilever and a stylus of advanced shape, but it's not like they are simply shrinking a rough cut diamond and gluing it to a very small stick.

Can any owners confirm this is a one piece cantilever/stylus?
The cantilever of the MSL Signature Diamond is a tapered diamond pipe, with a tiny hole cut into the front end to take the glued-in stylus.

Here is a translation of the text from the following Japanese dealer page.
My Sonic Lab マイソニック・ラボ/Signature Diamond

"Behind the Signature Diamond are technological innovations by cantilever manufacturers.
Mr. Matsudaira tried diamond cantilevers during his ENTRE days, but the manufacturing techniques were still immature. There were problems with reliability, including breakage and stylus tips falling off. Mr. Matsudaira didn't get a very good impression.
Due to his previous experiences, although Mr. Matsudaira received a proposal for a new diamond cantilever from a specialty material manufacturer, he did not intend to adopt it immediately.
However, after examining the reliability etc. data of the prototype, it became clear that the new diamond material was up to the task. After further refining the shape, structure, stylus adhesive etc., Mr. Matsudaira became satisfied with the new diamond cantilever.
This is the very first time that any manufacturer has used cantilevers which are hollowed-out pipes made of diamond, and taper towards the stylus."

BTW, I don't recall how much Ogura asks for these tapered diamond cantilevers, but the last time I looked, Orbray's charge for a one-piece diamond cantilever (only the stylus and rod section; the joint-pipe, armature, suspension system and stopper pipe are separate) was JPY 280,000 per piece (may be higher today).
Since Ogura and Orbray are the only sources in the world for their respective types of diamond cantilevers, any cartridge manufacturer who wants to use these cannot go to alternative suppliers. The hefty bill will have to be paid - in advance.
