ok, for those who believe the factory in re: power cords and footers (ie they're 'optimized') -- whatever.
the Ref5se and 150se both respond extremely well to power cords. pick your flavor. i like the TG Audio stuff myself. but anything will beat the stock cords.
i've posted previously re: hard feet under the 5se as they made a notable improvement.
now, after installing a BDR Source under my 150se (nice improvement) i thought i was done. until i found 5 HRS nimbus couplers / spacers that i used in lieu of the stock feet. ---lower noise floor = greater detail retrieval, better spaciousness (a lifting and deepening of the stage), more pronounced bass depth and weight (not exaggerated, mind you). a notable and impressive improvement w no downside whatsoever.
so folks, before you go trading in for latest and greatest, try tweaking a bit. it helps, a lot.
