Very cool.
I hope both are with the Circuit Package?
Would you like to swap one of yours for my black one?
That would be Ebony and Ivory for you and Snowflake 1 and Snowflake 2 for me :D

Ha, not to worry. I just thought it was a funny shift (puns come naturally) in topics.
Cheers squire

Out of respect for your tolerance and good humour, I've started a car thread in the right place. Hope that some of you come across, as i especially want to ask Christoph about the Circuit Pack on his Yaris

Thanks. Loving the small size and placing right in the corners so they don't dominate the room.
The newly announced Living Voice R80 appears to be a real winner. The stated design objective was to offer the magic of their flagship Vox Olympian horn in a considerably more affordable and less complex loudspeaker. Designed to be used with SE tube amplification with a sensitivity in the mid 90s should also help deliver the magic. The announcement stated the debut is slated for March 25 and 26 at the Audio Show Deluxe at Whittlebury Park. Enjoy!

Not exactly, Morricab. Below are some details as well as a photo next to their OBX III. Estimated price is from 33-45 euros depending upon finish.

Members, I am not an importer reseller of this product but do find these big floorstanders very compelling for their high efficiency, tube friendliness and overall design objective to capture some of the qualities of their Vox series horns.

Quote given to Hi Fi Pig

Kevin told us: “We wanted to create a speaker that combined the lyricism, coherence, and innate musicality of the OBX-RW4, with the scale, dynamic range, and visceral thrill of the Vox Olympian. To reach our goal we chose a symmetrical mid / treble / mid (MTM) two- way driver topology in a reflex-loaded enclosure using two state-of-the-art 8’’ bass/mid drivers and 34mm tweeter. We set out on this path three years ago and here we are – the R80 is born”.

The past twelve months has seen Kevin and the team making painstaking incremental progress and seemingly endless iterative developments on both the cabinet tuning and crossover of the new Living Voice R80.

CABINET CONSTRUCTION

The unique cabinet construction of the R80 is a development of what Living Voice have evolved for the Auditorium Series over the past 30 years and translates into this new design, being stiff, light, and diffusive. The R80’s form factor is clean and simple, relying on classic golden ratio proportions and formal relationships, making for what Living Voice say they hope is a timeless appearance.

SENSITIVITY

Although official specifications are not yet available we know that the new Living Voice R80 Loudspeaker has a sensitivity in the mid 90’s, plus an “even and very benign impedance characteristic”. It has been designed to bring the most out of partnering electronics and plays to the strengths of single ended triode electronics. As with all Living Voice loudspeakers the precision calibrated crossover components are largely proprietary and are either made by hand in-house or by specialist suppliers.

Tweeter and mids are completely different in this new model
Looks like they use scanspeak mid units / tweeters from the elipticor range , those are HQ units no cheap stuff there
You can see the oval shaped magnet gap( supposedly improves transient response among other things )
I liked the living voice MTM in munchen

Those Scanspeak tweeters look very nice!
I expect these speakers to play big and bold with 10-20 watts of SE power. Two of our favorites are the limited edition Trafomatic Rhapsody SE 300B integrated with 20 watts/channel, as well as the Destination Audio GM-70 for those who want it all!

I can see the UK hand made custom builds SJS Electroacoustics brand of electronic tube components being a great match for these new Living Voice R80 speakers as they so much were with the Living Voice OBX-RW4 speakers I heard last year at the UK North West HiFi Show which for my ears was one of the best sounding systems there.

To wbass: As you are new to London I would suggest save on the hifi and focus on the restaurants. Lots of fine dining around, and while some of it is like expensive hifi the other is really good.
