Three new models of Totaldac speakers are released.

https://www.totaldac.com/d150-speaker-eng.htm

Three models are available: d102, d112 and d122 speakers, all are 2-way speakers for maximum coherence and impulse response.
The top driver uses a very light paper cone to sound ultra fast, it is made in collaboration with the famous French full range driver manufacturer EMSspeaker.
The driver frame is custom made of wood when the d112 and d122 speakers are concerned.
The bottom driver uses a heavier cone with a very strong neodymium magnet for strong bass, body and wide soundstage.
The bottom driver is closer to the floor to cancel the floor reflection and get a very flat final frequency response at the listening place.
Both 12inch drivers work together in a complementary way to create the perfect mid/bass driver: fast, deep, very flat response and very high efficiency.
The treble horn is very short and the compression driver dome is quite small, all this allows a very extended treble response very rarely found in horn speakers.
The speaker coils of both 12inch drivers and the compression driver are precisely aligned for a perfect impulse response and coherence, something impossible with deeper horns or even with most conventional tweeters.
So this perfectly aligned 2-way-only speakers give the maximum coherence and impact to the sound and you can hear it immediately.
The bass extension, treble extension, high efficiency and very flat response increases even more the realism.

Specifications common to all 3 models:
-100dB @ 1m @ 2.83V even in bass thanks to two 12inch high efficiency drivers working together
-power handling 100W but the amplifier can be classified much less as well as much more than 100W
-2-way only for maximum coherence
-treble extension 25KHz at -6dB
-bass response: 25Hz at -6dB best case when placed close to a corner of some rooms, 35Hz at -6dB when placed around the middle of most rooms
-6ohm average impedance, 4ohm minimum impedance
-constant directivity horn used above 2.5KHz
-Neodymium bottom 12inch driver with very high force
-custom made ultra fast top 12inch driver made in cooperation with EMSspeakers
-very extended treble 1 inch compression driver with rather small organic dome
-point to point wiring crossover, no PCB trace is used, only the component legs are used
-Mundorf coils exclusively, all air coils except one Feron coil
-Mundorf binding posts for any kind of banana and spade cables
-Claritycap capacitors (exclusively PUR range in the d112 and d122 speakers)
-crossover isolated in its own wooden enclosure
-made in France
