* Did you watch a film last night (on Blu or DVD), and what was it? *

Last night :: Brace yourself!

---

---Click on it ^ if you dare!

* Popcorn movie, definitively! ...Very Alien, American! :D
-> Clean Picture (but the camera is moving too much for my own taste).
-> Cool CGI effects (grandiose scale; over-the-top).
-> Very active surround channels.
--- ...But the sound can be irritating after a while, at Reference level!
-> Story line? Which story line? ;):D

All in all; check it out and see for yourself if it makes a dent in your life. :b

* Check this very 'anal' video!:D That is if you can stand it!
...How some kids are lost in this world ...And guess where they hang out? Hint: BRF, HDD, ...

Last night :: Music Documentary :: Bob Marley :::

---41332_medium.jpg

------'Smoke' ^ him!

* I have several Music Docs on Blu-ray, and they are part of my 'important' Music/Documentaries collection/evolution; and this is one of them now. :b

Watched mega flop Mars Needs Moms with my 5 year old son while Mom and his sisters were out watching a play. We had a lot of fun with it! Then again maybe it was the quality company! :D

-----Excellent quality animation Jack (top notch), and the 3D Blu-ray video is quite impressive. ...One of the bests. The audio is great too (DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1). ...Disney title. :b

* I fell asleep. :( ...But what I've seen so far is still better than 'Clash of the Titans'.
The 3D is not that great, but much better than 'Clash ...', which was truly awful.

I'll watch the end tonight.
But I can categorically say that what I've watched so far is better than 'Clash ...'.
{And if you want more info you know what to do.} :b

Amir, this ain't a movie that I recommend; it simply is for the kids, and even for them it ain't that great.
Sorry, but I do watch crap sometimes; I am living in North America and I am influencable by the powers of Hollywood. :b ...And there is still that kid inside me.

I did have a good run though not long ago; thanks to you. :b
That was good for my brains and soul.
...And I hope that few people took some great suggestions from it.

---Ok, I was going to watch 'Titanic 3D' (Blu-ray), but I changed my mind as it was already late and the film is 195 Minutes long!
I just knew that I wouldn't be able to finish it, and in 'tres' particular in 3D; tough for the eyes I tell you! So I need to start it early in the evening (ten o'clock or so for me), and I need to be totally relaxed, fresh, favoravly disposed, and just ready. As soon that the opportunity will reveal itself to me, I'll jump on it! :b
- I've heard really good things on that 3D experience with 'Titanic' on Blu-ray,
and I'm looking enthusiastically forward to it. :b

______________

So instead I rewatched this flick, which I luv to death!
From my own perspective, I Highly Recommend it, if you did not watch it yet.
This film, directed by one of my favorite directors, Kathryn Bigelow ('The Hurt Locker'), James Cameron's ex-wife, and starring Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, and a fantastic cast of young actors with incredible devotions and emotional performances, is simply first-rate all the way!
* Inspired by true real events (1961 and after).

And by the way, I just don't care what other reviewers said about it, as many of them couldn't see the real value/gain in it. ...It was released back in 2002 (ten years ago).

=> You don't have to click on the picture cover from above if you don't want to.
If you've never seen it before; Best is to simply watch it without reading anything at all about it.
Anyway, today is September 11, and that's my recommendation for the day.

And love one another because life is so fragile and taken so often for granted.

---Oh and by the way, if you've already seen it, there is absolutely nothing stopping you to rewatch it again. :b

* And soon, 'Titanic 3D' on Blu-ray; my overall impressions, stay tuned! ;)

Watched "Green Lantern" on HBO 3D with my Sony HMZ OLED glasses. I am really growing fond of these glasses.

Again, don't know why this movie was trashed so much by critics and viewers, I really enjoyed it, the 3D from HBO/ Sony HMZ was quite natural and profound on many of the scenes, especially the final battle in space. Haven't seen a 3D blu ray yet, wonder if it is better than HBO, but with hi def, sharp picture as with "Green Lantern" the pixels become nearly invisible, and the colors are fantastic, especially all the glowing aliens and lanterns. Nice 3D ending, setting up the sequel (if there is one after the trashing the movie took), rather than the usual cool 3D beginning.

Watched part of a 3D surfing short as well, also fantastic. They showed a 3D picture of a hurricane from space, I had no idea that hurricanes piled up so high in the sky like bowler derbies, they look flat on 2D shots.

-----I wish that more people like you would post in this thread and give real comments like you just did. I truly appreciate the time you took.

After all these are your own eyes and ears, and heart and mind too, and that's all what it matters at the end. :b

Last night ::: Disc 1 ::: In 3D :::

---7548_medium.jpg

---...---Click ^ on!

* Well, that is a fantastic 3D conversion! James Cameron did an excellent job with his supervision.
...To watch it is to appreciate it! :b

And right now, this Blu-ray 3D version is simply the Best!
...And I am 100% certain that the 2D version is as good if not better!

So, here you go, you know what to do! :b

_______________

=> I'll watch Disc 2 tonight, which is the best part. :b

I watched this with my gf's family. I'm not sure that the niece and nephews enjoyed it so much, as it must seem somewhat dated to very young people. I thought it charming. Based on a true story.

Watched 'Conviction', with Hillary Swank, and what a nice movie! True story. Great performance once again by Hillary. Involving use of DNA as evidence, which reminded me of the recent headline on the Jeffrey McDonald murder case being heard again with DNA evidence coming in.

* Luc Besson directed it (1988), and the music is by Eric Serra. Jean Reno is in it.
If you never haven't seen it, please make an effort to do so; I don't think you'll regret it.
And just the musical score alone is worth it. :b

* Took a chance, purchased this Blu, watched it, and enjoyed it! It was true fun!
This ain't 'Lawrence of Arabia'; just to let you know. ;)

You guys have seen this flick before right? Me too, but first time now on Blu.
I luv this flick! ...And now even more. :b

* If I could collect all the cute girls and women I saw in my life, I would.
...They are actually in my brain's library. :b
