Can anyone provide an update as it been a while. Was there finally a resolution to the stuttering issue? The last reported firmware was (SV03.00.25), perhaps there is something newer that address all known issues?

Installed the latest SV03.00.29 firmware. Still stuttering using DSD512 modulators.

I have owned a Lumin U1 (not mini) for about 3 years now. Never a problem, not a single glitch. Been thinking about upgrading to the U2 (not mini) lately.

I'd suggest arranging an in home demo of the U2 before making that change. The Lumin U1X is still in their line as their top network transport, so while the U2 has their newer hardware design and chassis finish it's not necessarily an upgrade from your U1. I expect there will be a new top model coming at some point to replace the U1X but haven't heard anything announcing it yet. You can also check into the possibility of adding their X1 PSU as an upgrade to your U1 which might be your best option.

What’s interesting is that in Lumin’s own model comparison chart the U2 has more going for it compared to the U1X, for less money. I’m going to Axpona and I’ll be interested to hear if Lumin has a new model U1X.
