I had the Audio Desk. I didn't have to many complaints with it until the old "We made a bad batch of chemicals and we were not impressed with the first 2700 people who called and complained" deal. I was not affected, I had a drawer full of good bottles. But a pal ruined three machines before they caught on that they were sending out bad chemicals. They replaced all his machines but still. I gave mine to a friend with zero regrets. Still, it worked swell for me.
I bought a first Gen Degritter, I still use it every day. In September I am supposed to get a Degritter Fonoteek. They are getting close to shipping. I missed out one the Gen 2 Degritters but no big deal. The Gen 1 is a wonderful machine. Well worth the price. I have read the Gen 2 was a major step up. So the Fonoteek will be fun to learn.
I also have a Kirmuss. The routine with it seems excessive but done correctly it really does a great job. Hand drying a Kirmuss processed record is pretty darn easy. Not much moisture sticks to it. I have found running an LP through the Degritter twice without drying, and a final time with drying accomplishes pretty much the same results as the Kirmuss routine.
I only have one album, but I care about it. Perhaps obsessively. But it has that one good song!
