The author exhibits serious psychopathology in addition to musical unawareness. His interchangeable use of "rock" and "rock 'n' roll" is just the most obvious example (of the latter characteristic, not the psychopathology).

i wouldnt argue with any of that, but you didnt call any of them douches. there is such a thing as crafting ones work, its another thing to only take potshots at someone else.
