Arya Audio AirBlades

We’re back to playing with sub levels again and can’t resist flipping the phase.
Where’s the exasperation emoji when you need it.

Flipping the phase.
Flipping your wig.
Flipping off your rocker.

Fwiw Barry, I'll do insanity via subs levels, you can do yours on fuses and caps burn in torture. Noone is untainted in this hobby.

Hi Marc,

How do they connect to your system? Do they receive a full-range line-level signal from a second pair of outputs on the line stage pre-amp?

An additional set of spkrs cbls from the spkrs terminals on my Zus. One could also run these cbls from the power amp, but that's not needed.

Maybe I have, Barry. Maybe I haven't. Or maybe my amps are back to conventional polarity. I must maintain some mystery and unpredictability in this hobby, no?

We don't always get what we want. Didn't his parents tell him that when he was little?

It looks like an outstanding design. There is great mysteriousness about the psychoacoustic effects of well dispersed high frequencies.
However, couldn't help but think of 'Moonraker'.

I looked at the Web site. It certainly is a unique speaker with unique looks. Best I can tell it is a tweeter (<1kHz to >20kHz) -- is that how it should be understood? I gather it acts on modulated AC just as the speaker does. As an add-on to an existing speaker (w/ tweeter) is it reproducing something from the recorded signal? Is that different from what the speaker's tweeter reproduces?

Very enlightening comments. To quote a wise dwarf “everyone who makes a joke about a dwarf’s height thinks he’s the only person to make a joke about dwarf’s height”.

I am very impressed by what even the standard version of airblades did at home. The effect, to me, was not dramatic until you disconnect them and the music seems to lose a bit of life and become thin. With them on the sound fills the room. It's hard to describe but the effect was significant and importantly to me it didn't really alter the sound signature of the speakers i was trying them with (Westminsters). Marc has gone straight to the top of the tree. I might be on the look out for a used standard pair to see how well they pair up with the AN/E speakers.
