Hi what I know for VYDA ICs is that high attention is given to the insulation again EMI/RFI, they are made of OFC silver posted treated in low temperatures and that each conductor is separately insulated with cotton fibres. I also know that air is used as part of the dielectric.

For the power cables, the designer has written to me that they are of enough size to safely conduct 60 Amperes. He has also stated that the alloy used is copper silver infused and double cotton insulation is used as dielectric.

Peter I am speaking very often with Jorn Janczak the Owner and designer of Tidal Audio, he is my friend.
At the time he had shipped my speakers, i remember that he told me to leave them to settle at my space for 24 hours before connecting them, for them to settle at the conditions of my home. He repeated the same when he sent me my cables. On my question for the reason, his response was, that during transportation the speakers and cables are undergone through excessive temperature and pressure variations which are apparently affecting their performance.

Some years ago a mature audiophile had advised that cables doesn’t like to be moved around. It sounded very funny to me, so I was surprised to listen a similar advise form Jorn Janczak.

P.S. It’s amusing to read funny theories about videos and sound from certain users with their specific equipment. I used to own components of their system and I know first hand how they measure, how they sound and their inherited design issues. The words ‘Confidence ‘ and ‘confident’ are used very Lightly here.
Thanks Vienna, they seem to be getting very good feedback from those with them... it takes me usually some time (many months) to get a good grasp on the nature of the cables that I’m using and then I find when you have a loom it then it becomes that much easier again to get a better understanding of what the cables are doing (or not doing)... very much looking forward to hearing more as you go.

When i first heard about Vyda i was very sceptical, I have tried in the past many cables with questionable results.
I went ahead with the demo because Gianluigi is always honest and due to the fact that the demo was completely without any cost.

When the cables delivered I was again sceptical whether i should install them, because at my system replacing cables ( especially of this size ) is not the easiest thing.

For convenience I powered first with them, my KEF LS50w due to the ease of connection.
It took me several minutes to recover from the shock the moment l listened how my little Kefs were sounding.

During that period i had AQ Dragons on the main system which were a clear upgrade from Wireworld.

That same day i removed AQ and installed VYDA, that same day i ordered the complete VYDA set.

Here is one side saying videos "SUCK" and the other side finding them useful in a limited way. That is a big divide.

That's not a big divide. In fact, I agree with both assertions.

This thread is 10 pages and 9.75 of them are pure garbage. Imagine someone coming to this thread 6 months from now trying to find constructive feedback on Vyda cables and needing to wade through this nonsense to try to find what little there actually is on the topic. It dilutes the overall value of the forum. Shameful.

One clip sounds better than the other and Vyda cables are fantastic I own three.
Aha..The secret sauce reveals :). Do you have the power cord or the phono cable? My Italian buddy will be sending me the phono cable to try.

I have been bored of audio lately. Will have to get back to buying your wonderful records soon.

Sorry you think so. It looks we valuate differently this forum - I would never participate in an audio forum thread where only 2.5% is something else than pure garbage. IMHO out debates and way of debating are intrinsic part of this forum, that represents very well typical differences and perspectives of the hobby. As long as people keep polite and civilized, something that is happening, all opinions are valuable. I think we are having a very interesting thread.

Again IMHO future readers will learn a lot more about our hobby than just cable X is much better than cable Y. As always YMMV.

There was some soft pushback in the beginning of the thread - and I see nothing wrong with that - and then one individual, who was not being addressed at all, decided to start characterizing others as 'hypocrites'. That, to me, is what is really shameful.

I think you understand the point, but then again maybe I shouldn't assume. Debate isn't the problem. The problem is that you and others don't know when and where to initiate and carry on and on and on and on and on..... Wouldn't it be nice if people could come to a Vyda cable thread and easily find feedback on Vyda cables? "But, but ... Someone was wrong on the internet!!". Roughly 180 of the 190 posts here belong elsewhere. And then we'd have the added benefit of being able to easily ignore them.

Ok, off topic but on topic if you get me...

I believe it was Erickson, in studying human development, said “we are all just trying to make sense of the world”. Some folks are “scientifically” minded, needing facts and figures and experimental results before anything fits into their understanding of the world. Others are less so. Yet each can be so goddamn stubborn in their unwillingness to accept perhaps their own understanding of the world is flawed or incomplete. Paradigms change, what we believe today may make future generations laugh. A little humility goes a long way. I am repeatedly stunned by the hubris of people.

Well, some of us find they know when and where to carry debates. Your desire is not my view of WBF - I like long threads, not just the user hate/love feedback on products. I am more interested in information and the why's and the people motivation in the hobby. It is my way of living it. otherwise I would have a stable system, listen to music and get another hobby.
Anyway thanks for your opinion.

That is a good one, Al, but I suspect it is much greater than that. Readers were told to ignore me in this thread by someone who simply disagrees with my opinion about the value of these types of videos. I find that to be incredible on an audio forum such as this one. Here is one side saying videos "SUCK" and the other side finding them useful in a limited way. That is a big divide. For some, it seems to be about cancelling those who disagree with them - shutting them down, silencing their opinion. And then the insult about not being able to process information? Incredible.

"Ignore him - he has no business derailing the thread. Processing information can be tough."

We are better than this at WBF. This is a forum for exchanging ideas and having an open exchange of different opinions. We are here to learn from each other.
I just saw this, written by you yesterday. So let me get this straight: you first called me and Al 'hypocrites' out of the blue, and now you want to be seen as the victim and you expected respect in that subsequent response of mine? I have a new meaning for the word 'trash', and ... you know the rest...

Gentlemen:

The tone of this thread has descended into disrespect. Each of you take three deep breaths.

If you choose to return to this thread, please make sure you are in a happy mood and with a smile on your face.

Thank you.

Let's turn it around then. :)
I wish it was at my hands; as you see, deliberately I am not responding to the attacks and offensive posts.
