My Tube Collection, Welcome to share yours

My Tungsram ECC83. The twelve in the top corner are stapled plates but the rest are welded plates.

I don't have any of the black plates or silver plates with single post foil getter. Few others Tungsram as well. The dual post foil getter with the third mica support was one I didn't see Adrian.

What are these tubes? A clock (marked oscillator)?
I do not know what was their purpose at those times. Tungsram has at least 2 types with name "OS" which are "oscillator". These are OS18/600 which are 4654 equivalents which can take 600V plate voltage. There is also OS1 which is an equivalent of PE06/40P from Philips or SFR P17c. I do not have that one, only this quad of OS18.

I started to measure/test my whole collection and this process will take years. Anyway I opened yesterday a sealed Tungsram EL5 and took some photos. Date code was "oh" which according to Tungsram date codes tables is May, 1943.

This is one of my best preserved pieces, so I thought it makes sense to share this. Box opened after 82 years...

What a beauty! Can’t wait to see some of the others.
Getting a new tube tester really motivated me to inventory the tubes.

A strange tale with these tubes. I was in contact with a tube dealer decades ago. Bought some 12AX7s that he said were Telefunken Mullards. I had no idea what that meant. Those turned out to be the wonderful red tipped Telefunken labeled Mullards. I wasn't sure if I had been overcharged or sold counterfeit tubes, since that was starting to happen.
He then told me he could get some 6BL7s that I use in my amps for a great price. I bought them since they were so cheap. When they arrived, I had no way to determine exactly what he had sent and my tube tester told me nothing about them (it was a primitive tester).
I recently pulled out the 6BL7s and cleaned them off. They are marked 6BL7GT and have black plates. Otherwise, no other label or branding or codes. They tested ... perfectly (now using a Hickok tester). I put them in my amps .... and they sound wonderful. So, in the end the dealer was legitimate and I was clueless. Lucked out.

Here are the Telefunken Mullard 12AX7 (also shown in prior posts). They are 1967 Mullard Blackburn with red tips - graded and selected for very low noise. There is no <> in the base.
