@romaz and @QSA-LANEDRI ...greetings. I have a simple system and am exploring the idea of trying a Discovery Veridion power cable and perhaps an Ethernet cable. Where should I first place the Power cable? Source or DAC?

You should turn the prospective ethernet cable purchase from a "maybe" to a "definitely"

I recommend starting with the Antipodes K21 streamer. Using both the Discovery Veridion power and Ethernet cables with the streamer will unlock much more of its potential.

We ship Discovery Veridion cables worldwide directly from Belgium, with the exception of the United States, where shipments have been so far handled from New Mexico. For production and logistical reasons, we will now begin dispatching directly from Belgium to our U.S. clients, streamlining the shipping process. For European clients, VAT fees apply, and for international clients, customs or tariff fees may apply.
We are considering opening a dedicated production site for our U.S. clients once order volumes justify it.

So far Diretta should be the only software that's optimized for Jumbo Frames support, and then Diretta MemoryPlay seemed to sound excellent.
However, Jumbo Frames (9,000 MTU or above) and the Internet (1,500 or below) should be mutually exclusive

Since Qobuz and TIDAL etc. are hosting their FLAC files on servers that are MUCH noisier than a typical NAS at home, IMHO the only logical explanation here might have something to do with going through VERY long fiber optic cables before the data could reach the FTTH modem.
In other words, maybe we could simply try something like 300-meter 10G SFP+ AOC for $190 plus another 40 bucks for (international) shipping

Anas -- have a quick question regarding the use-case of my ethernet setup. I use a mesh wifi system in my home. As my music-room does not have ethernet access, I use a mesh-satellite for my streamer (only source); thus, the only connection to the wifi mesh-satellite is my streamer and the power supply. Do you think the Discovery Viridion Ethernet cable will beneficial? Thanks.

Ken — using the Discovery Veridion Ethernet cable, along with powering the Wi-Fi mesh-satellite using the Discovery Veridion AC or DC power cables, will not only be beneficial but it’s proving to have the biggest impact on the whole setup.
Right after that, powering the streamer with a Discovery Veridion power cable comes next in priority.

Discovery Veridion Power Strip vs. Shunyata Everest Power Distributor (1/2)
As I’ve received multiple requests to compare the Discovery Veridion power strip with established market power conditioners, I’m taking the initiative to share a private exchange from a client who conducted a comparison with the Shunyata Everest.
I will leave it to the client to disclose his identity if he wishes to do so. His feedback perfectly captures both the magnitude of the Discovery Veridion power strip’s impact and the key milestones one can expect throughout its burn-in journey.

"To be perfectly honest, I was less than impressed when I first connected the Discovery power strip to my audio system as follows:
Wall outlet ---> QSA-L Ultimatum (pre-Veridion) power cable ---> Shunyata Everest ---> QSA-L Discovery power strip
Into the power strip, I connected:
1. QSA-L Discovery power cable ---> Swiss Digital Fuse Box (SDFB) ---> QSA-L Ultimatum Veridion power cable ---> Taiko Olympus
2. QSA-L Discovery power cable ---> SDFB ---> QSA-L Discovery power cable ---> Paul Hynes SR-7 power supply (supplies power to Taiko router, Taiko switch and fiber optic coax converter)
3. QSA-L Discovery power cable ---> SDFB ---> QSA-L Discovery power cable ---> Gryphon Diablo 300 integrated amplifier
I started with this configuration because it maximized the amount of QSA-L power cabling. Beforehand, I gave the power strip about 10 days (not 24/7 but several hours each day) to burn in with my home theater system. While I hoped that was enough time, it quickly became obvious much more time would be needed. The sound was much noisier, and far less pleasant and far less engaging. This was big and confounding step backwards.
For the time being, I decided to disconnect everything from the power strip except the chain leading to the Olympus and wait until the sound quality recovered. That took about another week. By that time, I could discern what the power strip was adding to the sound: it gave the sound a noticeably increased visceral quality, although it also tipped the frequency response slightly upwards. As I reconnected power cables to the power strip, that visceral quality only intensified further. Very nice!
After Blake told me he got his best results plugging the power strip straight to the wall outlet, I gave that a try and removed the Everest from my system. My first impression was that the power strip without the Everest sounded a bit raw, and the Everest gave a more refined sound. But with more critical listening, I came to understand what Anas meant when he said power conditioners tend to take something away. In my case, it felt like the sound was ever so slightly constricted with the Everest, and more lively and dynamic with the power strip alone. It was super impressive to me that this humble power strip was competitive with not only an esteemed product like the Everest but also the QSA-L Ultimatum power cable. Even more impressive to me was that I eventually preferred the power strip over the Everest/Ultimatum combination. The Everest and Ultimatum haven't been used for several weeks now.
Further testing also revealed my Shunyata Altaira grounding system was having less of an impact now. In fact, after lots of back-and-forth testing, it's not clear to me the grounding system brings any improvements any more. If this is what the Veridion treatment can do for an ordinary, off-the-shelf power strip, I'm really excited to see what you folks can do with your own custom design!"

I do wonder if the new Everest X would change my assessment but for now, I'm not inclined to pay what it will cost to upgrade my Everest.
As for footers, I've not yet invested as much capital into these tweaks as other people, including Blake. During most of my testing with the Discovery power strip, I left it on the ground. Once I decided to keep it in my audio system, I undertook a wholesale re-routing of all the power cabling to (1) keep them further apart from the signal cabling and (2) take advantage of the power strip's unusually long power cord to find a better location for it. Eventually, I was able to make room for the power strip on a shelf in my rack (Taiko Daiza platform on an Artesania Exoteryc rack). And I had a few leftover footers called Auva EQ from Stack Audio. I thought they were reasonably competitive with the one set of CS2 0.8 that I have, at less than half the cost. I sent a set to Blake to try, but his very expensive Ansuz footers were deemed clearly better. No surprise there. Anyhow, using the Auva EQ in my rack solved a lingering problem for me: the sound regained what some people call PRAT, as if everything suddenly snapped into proper focus. I'm sure I'll revisit the topic again in the future when I have more and different footers on hand, but today, I quite like where my sound quality is at!"

As I posted, Jeremy is also running an A/B comparison against the Everest, which he recently acquired as an upgrade from the Denali 6000/S V2 and Typhon T2. He’s still in that early “disappointment” phase after a quick test with the unburned-in Discovery Veridion power strip.
Sharing your own experience and those key milestones could really help others understand the process and, as Roy said, might inspire more people to give themselves the chance to experience what they’ve been missing.
When it comes to the Ultimatum Infinity power cable, it reveals the maximum potential of the Shunyata Everest, to a level that no other power cable on the market would match.
However, the design of the Shunyata power conditioner, like most other conditioners available, focuses primarily on lowering the noise floor. No matter how sophisticated their engineering may be, or how pure and exotic the materials they use, these designs inevitably face trade-offs between different sonic characteristics.

We see the Discovery Veridion power strip as the solid foundation for the entire Discovery Series. Without it, you won’t really unlock the full potential of the setup , there’s a layer of performance that simply doesn’t come through.
It’s honestly hard to describe in words what’s missing without it, and even harder to realize how some other power distributors or conditioners can actually do more harm than good in their effort to lower the noise floor.
We don’t recommend using the Discovery Veridion together with any other power conditioner or distributor. It really works best when connected directly to the wall outlet. For an even stronger result, you can use it with Spectra or Ultimatum Series power cables.
And yes, this might sound like a sales pitch, but chaining multiple Discovery Veridion power strips does take things up another level. Even plugging Discovery Veridion AC power cables into the strip (without connecting them to components) can make the background noticeably blacker.
