QSA LANEDRI Series

Hi Steven,
Very glad yo see that there is a QSA Forum on WBF.
Congratulations!

I think I wrote the first QSA review on WBF, back in 2012.
:D

May I ask you two questions?

Firstly, I notice on you website that QSA-Lanedri cables are being launched.

May you tell us more about them?
What metals are employed and what special features do they have?

Secondly, several frds of mine in Hong Kong have bought QSA JitterPower.
IMG-20221230-WA0009.jpg

Again, please tell the WBF members more about these series of accessories.

Many thanks!

Cheers,
CK

@ptman thanks for sharing. I put in an order for the Discovery power cable when the promotion was announced, since I wasn't able to attend Axpona this year. Looking forward to hearing it.

Anyone get a chance to listen to the Veridion cables at Axpona? Haven't seen any impressions yet.
When I was in the room they were doing a comparison between treated and non treated generic speaker cables.
The song being played contained a female vocalist.
First played were the stock cables. System sounded good.
Then the treated cables. Both I and the gentleman next to me almost fell off of our chairs when the vocalist “appeared “ in front of us.
A very stunning demonstration.

I visited QSA-Lanedri's room at AXPONA several times last weekend, and can confirm their demo was very effective.

It does help to clearly understand the systems that @QSA-LANEDRI and @romaz had setup. Two identical system chains were on display, each comprising a network router, a switch, a NUC Roon server, and a Lyngdorf Audio TDAI-3400 integrated. Only the speakers, YG Ascents, were shared between these system, hence the need for the speaker cable swaps for the demo as a previous poster mentioned.

My understanding is that these systems were identically configured, with the only difference being that one system was using all stock cables, while the second was using Veridion-treated power and Ethernet cables. I did get a chance to inspect this up close, and at least to my naked eye, I can verify this was the case.

I am quite familiar with Anas's previous cables, but my interest was really piqued going into this demo, for two reasons. First, the price point of $250 is very (relatively) approachable, and this was an opportunity to hear just the effect of QSA-Lanedri's Veridion treatment versus the identical untreated cables.

Suffice it to say that the improvement was dramatic. The soundstage expanded in all dimensions, instruments had greater clarity and texture, and bass got both tighter and deeper (go figure!). Best of all, the slightly harsh, fatiguing aspect of the stock cables was gone.

I witnessed several cohorts of listeners come through at various times, and it was quite entertaining to see/hear their reactions. They ranged from stupefaction to disbelief to intense suspicion about tricks being played. Anas and Roy took pains to dispel these suspicions, showing how the Lygdorf's were set to identical levels and Room Perfect settings. I had brought along a non-audiophile friend with me, and his reaction was very similar. In fact, it was he who dragged me back a couple more times during the show, and finally decided to order 4 of these cables for his setup!

I wish more exhibitors at these shows would do such comparative demos. It is so much more interesting and useful than just passively listening to some unknown system with unknown music.

I was also quite surprised by how effective the demo was, this in spite of me having QSA-L cables and fuse in my system, I kept shaking my head. Congrats on a simple but very effective demo @QSA-LANEDRI and @romaz. I was there on Friday and am told the gap widened further the following days.

The discovery of Veridion technology, the culmination of three years of intensive R&D, represents a groundbreaking leap in audio realism, surpassing anything we've previously encountered. To showcase its impact, we introduced it at AXPONA in a challenging manner: utilizing basic cables across two identical setups, where the sole difference was the use of Veridion cables versus untreated ones. This approach eliminated variables related to cable design or conductor purity, focusing solely on the technology's effect.

System Configuration:
  • Source: Mini PCs serving as Roon servers (approximately $700 each from Amazon)
  • Amplification: Lyngdorf TDAI-3400 integrated amplifier
  • Networking: Basic router and switch
  • Speakers: YG Acoustics Peaks Ascent Loudspeakers
Both setups were connected to the same pair of speakers.

Cabling Details:
  • Power Cable: 1x Monoprice power cable supplying the Lyngdorf TDAI-3400
  • Ethernet Cables: 3x Monoprice Ethernet cables connecting the router to the switch, the switch to the Mini PC, and the Mini PC to the Lyngdorf TDAI-3400
  • Speaker Cables: basic speaker cables
The second setup featured the five cables enhanced with our proprietary Veridion technology.

During each A/B comparison session, informing the audience about the use of standard Amazon cables piqued their curiosity. Interestingly, the setup with untreated basic cables delivered a satisfying and pleasant sound. However, upon switching to the Discovery Veridion cables, the audience exhibited spontaneous expressions of astonishment. Capturing these reactions on video would have immortalized the moment, a lesson for future demonstrations. It was a truly unique experience.

As part of introducing the Veridion technology, we are offering a limited quantity of the Discovery Veridion power cables that were used in AXPONA, based on the Monoprice cables, for sale at $250. We're also working to extend this temporary introduction offer to other cables for a limited quantity, aiming to allow users with budget setups to experience the benefits of Veridion technology.

Orders can be made at our website:

I find it very disappointing that Lyngdorf was used for this demo.
I can’t think of any other preamp that can be used in this circumstance that would make it easier for the demonstrator to change the presentation/perspective of a recording without anyone knowing it was just a simple push of a button on the iPad. There would be no way anyone (other than the button presser) could know!
I hate to be so cynical, but anyone familiar with the Lyngdorf format knows exactly what I am talking about. Even beyond the level and Room Perfect settings being the same it just leaves so much room for questions.
For full disclosure I did not hear this demo and only know what has been mentioned in previous posts on this thread.

IMO, using the Lyngdorf voids any validity to this demo and I would seek additional demonstration before opening my wallet.
We chose to use an integrated amplifier to simplify our setup, allowing us to focus as much as possible on the cables. Our first choice was the CH Precision I1 Integrated Amplifier; however, sourcing a second unit proved challenging. Using only one unit would have compromised the near-instant A/B comparisons we aimed for. Ideally, we also wanted two identical sets of speakers to facilitate truly instantaneous comparisons.

Fortunately, we received two units from Lyngdorf, actually three, as one was held up at U.S. customs. Lyngdorf's exceptional support led them to source a replacement unit at the last moment, ensuring our setup remained on schedule. Initially, we were skeptical about their RoomPerfect technology. However, since it could be disabled, we decided to proceed with these units. RoomPerfect turned out to be a pleasant surprise, effectively overcoming the limitations of the showroom and playing a central role in creating an enjoyable base setup. We configured RoomPerfect on one unit and replicated the configuration on the second. Based on our experience, we believe this unit offers a seamless solution for any show.

We received skeptical reactions from many users, which we found completely understandable given the jaw-dropping change in music performance when switching to the Discovery Veridion cables. The fact that both setups used the same Amazon cables left the audience struggling to understand how such a difference was possible. The most frequently asked question was whether the volume levels were the same on both setups, as the music became bigger and deeper in the room. Some industry experts and manufacturers who experienced the A/B comparison and expressed interest in potential collaborations involving our Veridion technology, intrigued by the results, asked the same question in various ways: "Are you playing any tricks on us?"

Our response was to invite the audience to experience our limited offer by testing the Discovery Veridion cables in their own setup. We believe in the transformative effect of Veridion on any setup, and our 30-day money-back guarantee, which applies to our Gamma and Ultimatum series, also applies to the Discovery Veridion cable. After all, hearing is believing!

Yes, I would be skeptical, too. Lyngdorf was not our first choice but in the end, it proved to be an excellent choice given the challenging room conditions at AXPONA and the fact that we brought no room treatments at all. As Anas mentioned, our first choice was to go with the CH Precision I1 integrated amp. I personally own this device and it is easily the best, most transparent, and dynamic integrated amplifier I have personally experienced in my room. Because it is conveniently an "all in one" device and also includes a DAC and streamer, it is well suited for the small rooms at AXPONA. Because it is so transparent, this device scales tremendously to QSA-treated cabling and I knew it would effectively showcase the impact of the Discovery cables in an A/B demo. I did reach out to CH Precision and unfortunately, they did not have a unit they could loan us (I would have used my personal unit as the 2nd unit). Because this streaming amplifier retails for about $50k as configured, we were not in a position to purchase a 2nd unit. We had offers for loans for other streaming amplifiers including the Boulder 866 (which I love) but finding 2 identical units was the challenge.

Neither Anas nor I had previous experience with Lyngdorf. I looked at them as a lifestyle brand, not really a high-end audiophile component. But for our purposes, we only needed a unit to be transparent enough to highlight the differences between treated and untreated cables. In my conversations with Lyngdorf, they were more than happy to loan us 2 identical units and we received the TDAI-3400 with an MSRP of about $8k as configured. These units have a built in RoonReady streamer, DAC, digital preamp, and powerful class D amplification (200wpc into 8 ohms). I was aware it had room correction capabilities but in my conversations with Lyngdorf, they assured me this could be toggled completely off. Interestingly, Lyngdorf told me it was their experience at shows that their unit was more transparent with room correction turned on and that people would have an easier time hearing cable differences if room smearing was removed. They even offered to perform the room correction calibration on one unit for us and then copy those settings onto the 2nd unit so that they behaved identically. Anas and I figured we would eventually give their room correction a try but we were convinced we would be better off with it turned off and so on day 1, that's how we started off. Or so we thought.

Just to give people an understanding of what we had in the room, YG Acoustics was kind enough to loan us a pair of their new Ascent floor standing speakers with an MSRP of around $22k. Considering their TOTL sells for $500k, these are obviously entry level for them. Paired with the Lyngdorf at about $8k, a fanless NUC that functioned as our RoonServer that we purchased from Amazon, a $60 WiFi router, a $35 power strip also from Amazon, and a bevy of Monoprice 14 awg power cords and LAN cables which we purchased for about $5 each, we knew we weren't going to win any awards for absolute sound quality but we were at least hoping it wouldn't suck. We were nervous because neither of us had ever heard these components before until now. To our pleasant surprise, when we first turned the system on, even before any real warm up and using the untreated Monoprice cabling initially, the system sounded very good. Maybe we lucked out with system synergy but it was clear to me that despite the confines of this small room, this system was not going to embarrass us. We even received numerous comments from showgoers that these cheap Monoprice cables (untreated) were more than just passable. When we performed the A/B comparisons, the differences weren't subtle at all and so these Lyngdorfs were easily transparent enough.

Day 2 rolled around and we decided to read the product manual for the first time so that we could try out room correction. To our shock, we realized we had been listening with room correction turned on all along. We turned it off and were dismayed at how awful the system was now sounding. With the treated cables, you could still hear improvements but these improvements were more masked by the harshness and boominess of the room. My previous experiences with software and hardware room correction have not been favorable and I have posted about these experiences elsewhere but credit to Lyngdorf, their room correction seems to be different. It's not a homogenized sound. The presentation is definitely still very transparent. Speaking with them about this, they said they don't attempt to linearize the sound too much like other products that try to model after some target curve. They don't try to do any time or phase alignment and so the qualities and faults of your equipment are still pretty much there. Having now experienced this, my opinion is if you are lucky enough to have an ideal room with adequate volume, golden ratios, and proper room treatments, then room correction is definitely not necessary but in less ideal rooms such as AXPONA, Lyngdorf's room correction can work effectively well while remaining very transparent, much more so than with room correction turned off.

Just to give you an example of how good and "dialed in" our room sounded despite lack of any room treatments, feel free to skip to the 1:45 mark of this YouTube video:

This "dialed in" sound would not have been possible without the Lyngdorf's room correction.

Someone who was there addressed this:
I want to be perfectly clear that I am not accusing anyone of nefarious actions. I only want to point out that it is very easy with the Lyngdorf processor to program two (or more) completely different musical presentations by changing the position that the microphone is in while taking the room measurements for Room Perfect.
These different positions can all be given the same name which would make it impossible for anyone looking at the settings to know that any changes were made to the software for playback during any A/B/A test.
Additionally there are many sub menus where bass x-over and freq./slopes can also be changed along with eq settings of the entire frequency range that could be switched within those same settings.
One can go into the menus and see that all the distances are the same, but any eq settings can be hidden behind many walls.
I think that it is very risky business for anyone to show settings that appear to be the same (and very well could have been the same) as proof of facts when it is is very easy to be deceiving.
It’s the perfect setup for a carnival show.
I hope that this isn’t the case!

Yeah you sort of did make an accusation. That could have been avoided had you first aimed to gather facts by asking questions.

We were definitely accused or suspected of manipulating the setup and to be honest, we were expecting it based on just how large the impact of the treated cables were. Like I said, neither Anas nor I had previously heard this collection of gear before and we were afraid with room conditions and all that the contrast between treated and untreated cables would not be as audible as what we have each experienced in our own homes and with what I consider to be more resolving components and so it is a bit of a compliment to this Veridion treatment that people would assume foul play. It would obviously not do us or our reputations any good if we manipulated the demo only for the customer to purchase the cable and not hear the same qualities at home. Aa stated, these cables are not expensive to try and can be assessed without risk.

Can this order come with both a treated and untreated cable for A/B testing in the home?

These cables can be purchased on Amazon but it would be best to purchase them direct from Monoprice, the manufacturer, so that you can be sure you are comparing the same cables. Monoprice is based in California. The part number for the 14awg power cord is 40069.

Screenshot_20250420-185546-display-3.png

While there is nothing special about these power cords, we settled on this particular cable because Monoprice is a reputable company, the cable is ETL and ROHS safety certified, and they are well constructed and come with a lifetime warranty. We specifically went with a C15 connector over a C13 connector because C15 has more conductor mass and can handle heat and current better. These power cords can be used safely and effectively on any device including amplifiers up to a 15A capacity.

The part # for the UFTP CAT6 PoE LAN cable is #41035.

In my system, this LAN cable is at least as impactful as the power cord.

While we're happy to have you compare the treated cables to their untreated equivalents, what we would really prefer is to have you compare them to your reference audiophile cables regardless of their price.

Hi Anas, can you explain more what this is? Is it a device you are selling or treated cables? if cables, how does this new series slot in within the existing lines? If device, what level of cables can it produce?

When you mention the words "upgrade path" and surpasses anything we've achieved", I gather it is placed high up in the offerings. Would it be higher than the Ultimatum range of cables?

Anas, are you ready to explain how this Veridion range of cables will fit into your range of cables offered and how it will affect your existing QSAL customers (both local and international) who have paid 10-100x more for your Gamma, Spectra and Ultimatium cables? Are our investments secure?

The facts are the facts.
My only accusation is that I think it would have been more appropriate to have used a conventional preamp to do the demo.
I have no reason to doubt QSA’s integrity but on things such as these, along with the many skeptical comments made by the visitors to their room at the show it would have been more clear cut.
QSA described the scenario which led to their decision to use Lyngdorf, so be it.

VERIDION UPGRADE PATH

Veridion technology marks a groundbreaking leap in audio realism. While our Infinity Line comprising the Gamma, Spectra, and Ultimatum series already distinguished our cables across various budget levels, we chose to pioneer Veridion not out of commercial necessity but out of passion. Staying true to our mission of sharing the profound joy we experience with our products, we proudly introduced Veridion, which will now replace the Infinity Line across all three series. The updated commercial catalog has been published online and it features Gamma Veridion series, Spectra Veridion series, and Ultimatum Veridion series, each delivering unparalleled performance.

The Impact of Wire Gauge in Our Technology

At the heart of our technology lies the critical role of wire gauge. Far from a mere cable business, we are innovators of transformative technology applicable to all conductive materials. Cables serve as the medium through which our advancements are delivered, and gauge is pivotal, its impact is nothing short of phenomenal. Higher gauge not only multiplies the transformative effects of Veridion but also enhances mass conductivity, ensuring the full spectrum of our technology’s benefits is realized.

Those familiar with the Gamma, Spectra, and Ultimatum Infinity lines have witnessed their revolutionary differences. Veridion amplifies this legacy, delivering even more striking performance gaps between tiers.

Discovery Veridion cables: a limited-time marketing offer to elevate brand awareness.

To broaden awareness of Veridion’s capabilities, we offer the Discovery Veridion cables at a nominal price for a limited quantity. While these cables provide a glimpse into our technology’s potential, their impact pales in comparison to the Gamma, Spectra, and Ultimatum Veridion lines. The Ultimatum Veridion, in particular, transcends description, its transformative power must be experienced firsthand.

Veridion Pricing Adjustments & Upgrade Paths

The commercial catalogue has been updated online with the Veridion technology and it reflects a price increase over the Infinity, justified by the significant R&D investment required to achieve these breakthroughs. For our clients, we offer discounted upgrade paths to the Veridion technology:
  • Gamma Infinity → Gamma Veridion: 30% of Gamma Veridion’s retail price
  • Spectra Infinity → Spectra Veridion: 25% of Spectra Veridion’s retail price
  • Ultimatum Infinity → Ultimatum Veridion: 15% of Ultimatum Veridion’s retail price
For instance:
  • The upgrade from the Gamma Infinity power cable to the Gamma Veridion power cable is available for $1,300.
  • The upgrade from the Spectra Prince power cable to the Spectra Veridion power cable is available for $2,500.
  • The upgrade from the Ultimatum Infinity power cable to the Ultimatum Veridion power cable is available for $2,925.
Seamless Upgrade Process: No Downtime, No Disruption

To ensure a hassle-free transition, clients upgrading to Veridion will receive their new cables before needing to return their existing Infinity Line cables. This eliminates any interruption to your audio setup, you can continue enjoying your current system until the Veridion cables arrive.

How does the performance of the Veridion Amazon cables compare with the original QSAL Gamma Infinity and Gamma Relevation range?

Do the Veridion series cables still undergo the QSA treatment? Or is the Veridion treatment a replacement for QSA treatment?
