Zanden 1200 Signature

I like the Zanden gear a lot. I don’t think that they miss very much at the upper end, much more I think they are quite transparent and detailed. Everything is still natural, not mechanical, not even thin, but more on the transparent side than many other tube gear.

The heat is indeed a thing that should be calculated with every tube gear, but the small tubes don’t get the air so hot. Completely different with the 4 big 845 in the 9600, they are very much appreciated in the winter time.

I for myself use some solid state and even Class D gear in the summer months, where I spend more time with other activities and outdoor too, and when it comes just to shorter listening sessions.

I can absolutely recommend the Zanden gear from their classic range.
I don’t know the CH products from longer listening sessions or from trusted systems, just listened to them in completely unknown circumstances.

See my avatar picture, and you will regard Zanden gear very likeable and pleasant.
Thank you 'Birdwatcher' for your post. Much appreciated.

Yes, here in the UK I just mainly use my SS Chord Choral Amp in the warm summer months for listening to music through my speakers and my HiFiman EF1000 hybrid (tube pre with SS output) Amp also for my speakers in the cooler months. I use my Hybrid Amp for my headphones pretty much year round but when we have unusually hot weather in the UK I am selective when I turn this hybris Amp on so as not to heat up my room to high temperatures (I don't have an A/C Unit).
Hence me asking the question on heat outputs from the Zanden equipment.
